The X looks good if the use the new SD660 chipset. Anything less and it will be a little low end for me. Oh, and don't make it 9-10mm thick either...

Lenovo can't take its own cellphones to Moto's level so they are taking Moto to Lenovo's level. And till people realise that Moto phones have became just another Chinese handset with mediocre build quality I and no software support and stop buying it; Lenovo will already be having one more struggling cellphone brand (eg. HTC) in its pocket to encash it's brand value by making cheap ass HTC labelled phones.

Have a moto g4+ and it's the worst phone ever.
I'll never buy a Moto again, and based on my negative experiences, neither will any of my friends either!
Overheats so bad that it is unusable and now has major ghosting all over the screen

Laying off 1200+ staff from Chicagoo 2000 staffs has surely impacted all those updates you folks are waiting for. But it can save the company from dying. They're rebuilding team like in China with cheaper cost and I'm sure they will finally get back on track...Hopefully, Moto fans are still there when everything is rebuilt. In an old saying..later than never...

I own both a Moto X Style and a Moto X Play. Both phones are less than 2 years old and yet neither of them receive software updates any more. The blame for that rests solely on Lenovo who couldn't care less for the owners of these phones. Will I buy Motorola phones in the future - a 100% NO!

But seriously, I don't know why people bash Motorola. I guess it's just the hate towards the Chinese owner Lenovo.
As far as I am concerned, Moto is alive and kicking. Their R&D is healthy, with MotoMods & other innovative technology. To people bashing their design, sure Motorolas aren't the sleekest or the prettiest, but their current design has always been the same..... thick, rounded edges, curved back yet strong, almost like a throwback to older times.
It may not be very beautiful but it's not ugly either and I would prefer that any day over an iPhone-clone.
