Anonymous, 15 May 2017Samsung's software optimization is what we should praise. ... morei have owned samsung note 3, note 4 and currently using note 5. now i could act like a fanboy but i am sensible enough to say samsung's optimization is not as good as even one plus or motorola and you are talking about j2 which is a low end phone. i am sorry but i think you have never ever used fagships from two different brands to judge optimization. when samsung has optimization issues with flagships then think what would happen with lagships like j2. i use samsung note devices only for s-pen functionality and features.

It's just a difference in the way GlobalFoundries/Samsung measures transistors versus TSMC. The resulting chips density and power efficiency is within the same generation.

Zoom, 15 May 2017actually mtk6757 is aka helio p20 IMO mtk6757 is kinda les... moreBut Helio P20 has better CPU and GPU. And, if you read the review of the Sony Xperia XA1 (which sport a Helio P20 and a 2300mAh battery), you will know Helio P20 is more than reasonably efficient. Not as efficient as SD625 or 7880, but it's much better than P10.

AnonD-645188, 15 May 2017The low-powered cluster in p20/p25 is 1.6 ghzYes but then it performs better because it has a big cluster

IMO mtk6757 is kinda less efficient than exynos 7870 since the former is 16nm and latter is 14nm

Even a J2 with spredtrum cpu works really well

mediatek????? ewwwww......

With this, I'm expecting the J7 2017 to be the same level as the J7 Prime, but with proper 1080p sAMOLED display and LED Notification (!!!!!!). Won't mind if it'll cost $250, but please, Make It Possible (no Huawei pun).

Wow. As the name should be J7 Max, it should have a better processor than J7 Prime with their own Exynos and now what? MEDIATEK? The clock speed is the same as J7 Prime Exynos 1.6ghz. Plus Mediatek perform slower even with those clock speeds. What is Samsung thinking? They should put a P20 or P25 inside which performs much better!

Midrangers always tries to make up for lower end chipsets & specs from flagships with higher MP selfie cameras, bigger batteries & displays....

No AMOLED, No Exynos, No J7, Please keep it to yourself. will buy Moto X4 instead.

AnonD-510275, 15 May 2017Why use mediatek when you have exynos?Samsung's way of greedy-ing to people, just like how Apple does it, but in a less obvious way.
