Asus ZenFone 3 Max (or Deluxe) is getting Android 7.1.1 update

The update-announcement headline says ZenFone 3 Max, while details mention ZenFone 3 Deluxe as the device getting the update.

    It was such a lovely phone but got destroyed by this 7.1.1 update....volte stopped working now only if its not connected to a Wi-Fi network and Reliance jiovoice4g is not installed it will not work now.....in order to use volte one has to install jiovoice4g from app store to use it ....battery that was the main feature of this phone also started draining faster ..

      My Zenfone Max shares the same hardware as the J5 2015 - SD410, 2GB RAM.
      Google's premise is a 2-year guaranteed OS upgrades.
      The J3 2016's hardware is far inferior to my Zenfone Max.

      Other than Asus not feeling the plan of releasing Nougat to my device, there is absolutely no reason for my phone to not get it at all. But I'm gonna forgive it right now - my sister's LG G4 hasn't received the update yet either, but is surely guaranteed to receive it.
      At least maybe some official confirmation from Asus that my phone would receive the update will be able to tolerate my impatience, and I'm expecting more changes for a fact that Marshmallow brought almost nothing new to my device.

          After the update I also cannot make a volte call. Is there any way back that I can uninstall the update?

            Just downloaded the update after reading about it here on my ZenFone 3 max ZC553KL ....After downloading it I feel the battery drain is faster than normal...anyone else experience the same thing ??

              What about the bloatwares? Were they updated too?

                    Actually is Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) get Android 7.1.1 update. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL) is not true.

                          i just updated my zenfone 3 ze552kl to nougat 7.1.1 today. got the notif yesterday.

                            Shame of such late release. Android O is over the horizon.
                            Better they update my Zenfone Max, or else I'll switch to others.
