LG V30 will have Daydream VR support when it launches, Galaxy S8 to get it this summer

On stage at its IO developer conference, Google has basically confirmed that the V30 will sport an OLED screen.

Great! It always seem weird that LG touts the benefits of OLED display for it's TV and yet uses LCD for it's flagship.

Finally, I'm happy that the V30 will have an OLED screen. Hope it will also have a large 4000+ mAh battery, FM Radio, IP68 rating, MicroSD Card slot and the 3.5mm headphone jack. As for the removable battery, as much I want it to be there, I know LG will just follow the trend and use a sealed back like the G6.

          The G series is the fashion phone. And LG will never say "Hey, fashionista, you are not buying our best stuff".

              I don't understand this explanation. In the PC world LCDs are used in ultra fast response gaming monitors (144Hz). Meanwhile the AMOLED in my GS7 has very noticeable ghosting when displaying rapid motion, particularly on a dark background.

                    I hope it's not true. I hope they won't use the inferior OLED. If they want to use it in the future, then LG should make at least one more and a final device with removable battery, LCD screen, flat screen and non-glass back. Then sell this V30 in Europe too. Then they can mess up the future of phones with useless fashion design (non-removable battery, glass back, etc.). But give us the final, ultimate phone with removable battery that I would use forever.

                    Otherwise LG G5 or V20 remains the final, the last good, the ultimate phone in the world forever.

                      I absolutely agree 100%, "why the phones didn't just launch with that built-in from day one". But at least let's say that better late than ever.

                              And of course they would kill its replaceable battery as they're at it ... Because who wants it?

                              I mean who needs instant 100% charging, the capacity to double your phone's autonomy by carrying a tiny accessory and the capacity to replace batteries with dying cells for cheap?

                              No!
                              We need slow charging that takes up to an hour and a half, we need bulky mobile charger with cables sticking out taking other hour and a half to charge our phones (if we are lucky). We also need to pay $100 to repair our dying battery instead of $10 to replace it on our own.

                              I mean it all makes sense. Let's kill the replaceable battery. Thankfully G6 made the beginning.
