And no, LG isn't matching them in contrast, sunlight legibility, or minimum brightness. Unfortunately for you these things can be objectively measured.

Qwerty2017, 20 May 2017Superior? In what sense / aspect? IF u talk about color re... moreColor accuracy is an issue affecting all kinds of screens LCD or OLED, they all can be corrected by calibration. As for the other stuff you said.. totaly berserk. Oled gains in blacks, viewing angle, thickness. Long life is not an issue for oleds anymore. Lcd is just obsolete, it cant be fixed. Oled is really nearing perfection in the future as a final screen technology perhaps for a long time

Anonymous, 20 May 2017For mobile phones and tvs amoled is far superior to LCD. Be... moreSuperior? In what sense / aspect?
IF u talk about color reproduction, then YES, AMOLED is by far superior than ANY display technology exist now.
BUT, IF u talk about calibration, moreover sRGB ones, AMOLED is NO BETTER than LCD, sometimes worse than LG's Quantum IPS LCD.
This is largely caused by the differece in matrix used in LCD & AMOLED. LCD's RGB matrix is BETTER in overall condition than AMOLED's Dimaond pentile matrix. That's why, when U calibrate it to sRGB, LCD will have superior color reproduction than AMOLED in the same setting, that's why most people prefer to use "default" setting to make AMOLED's punchy color reproduction looks superior than LCD.

LCD, by far, is the most stable, long-lived, and potentially developing technology.
AFAIK there are many technologies developed from the standard LCD, such as TN, IPS, LTPS, Super IPS, Clearblack, Quantum LCD, Super LCD / LCD2 / LCD3, etc.

                          In short,
AMOLED is "expensive, short-lived, yet punchy display", while
LCD is "cheap, stable, long-lived with potential to be developed further display, to make it as good as AMOLED.
LG G5 's Quantum LCD has proved that recent LCD development could rival AMOLED's in terms of color reproduction, deep black, contrast ratio, & sunlight readability, moreover, from my first-hand experience by using AMOLED & LCD, looking at AMOLED / OLED strain my eyes more than LCD, as the color reproduction on LCD is less punchier and could go as dimmier as possible, unlike AMOLED. That's why I avoided buying a smartphone with AMOLED display and choose to go with standard IPS LCD ones, so I can look at the display as longer as possible without straining my eyes too much

"it is Xiaomi's most complete phone".

Everything about the Xiaomi Mi 6 was awesome except for one crucial thing.
IT DOESN'T HAVE THE 3.5 MM HEADPHONE JACK!:(

That is a deal-breaker for me and hence it makes the Mi 6 "Xiami's most INCOMPLETE smartphone"!

Be... moreamoled prone to amoled burn(wich is a sure thing for amoled screen). a heavy mobile phone user might want to avoid this type of screen since the "marks" that amoled burn "prints" on screen is very irritating and annoying.

you'll never found this kind of problem with an IPS screen.

Besides color deviation can be fixed by some method along the lines of a sensor calibration pen which you place on several points on the screen etc.. if they wanted to. Lcd has major unfixable limitations.

Anonymous, 20 May 2017This man is a spy from xiaomiWhat said is truth.. I'm use to be Samsung Amoled fans.. has own S & Note series from S3-S5 & Note 1-Note 3.. I notice after using those phone for a while the screen color will change to yellowish compared to my Iphone 4S, Lenovo K900, Sony Xperia.. I suspect due to screen temp increased (warm/hot).. can see at youtube..
