HTC accepted challenge & started making windows mobiles, PDAs, by brand name Qtek, also launched first Android set G1 in 2007. HTC maDe good and rid sets like HTC one, M series butterfly, having its different UI and polished lcd called super LCD with vivid colors. There was no macth of Samsung polished ample panels but HTC did a good job and proved like M10, but instead of Ultra pixle camera innovation there was a huge improvement needed in HTC camera section specially after launch of M9.

By removing the 3.5 mm headphone jack in their flagships, I would say HTC is having a quarter-life crisis at the age of 20! :P

Anyways, happy birthday HTC and hopefully you will outgrow your current crisis!

Good luck htc for the innovation. I buy products only from brands that innovate and unfortunately least selling brands like sony, lg, htc are in my list.

WHERE ARE THE BRAINS IN HUMANS??

It was Motorola who made the first stereo speaker phone. LG then followed with dual front stereo speakers, and Nokia NX7 was released in 2011 with similar set of speakers. A few months later and the Xperia Play came out with the same one as well.
Where is HTC back then with that?

I never knew you'd be that rude to other OEMs just because you can't accept that your favorite brand is no longer as strong as it was before. Brother, nothing lasts forever. Comeback is not an impossibility, but it comes with a will and attempt. You really need to wake up to reality dude.

I don't mean to be a hater as you think, I'm just telling what you must know. I also do want HTC to succeed, because I want more innovative brands to be in this world, but they seemed to be not interested at all. Hopefully their highest rated camera in DxOMark will save them from complete falldown. But again, I'm not hating.

Htc has been disappointing for years. These new phones wont help and will flop.

I wouldn't go that far, HTC. When you are living off of your shrinking cash reserves, it's a telling sign that you were lucky to reach that long.

AnonD-507364, 20 May 2017And yet Sony copied HTC stereo speakers. Dont be a typical... moreYou just go through the financial reports of Sony and htc for the last quarter and see for yourself who is in losses and who is in profits and then talk.

Dont be a typical fanboy, get a life dude. A garbage is a garbage regardless how you look at it. Convey them to Sony and Samsung.

[deleted post]You need to stop dreaming from the impossible land.
HTC only made a decent camera with the HTC 10, but even that "decent" is not worth comparative to the S7, let alone the Note 7.

Look how long it took them to master their professional "UltraPixel" camera, hence they even took cues from others just to achieve their desire. Whom do you think that f1.7 aperture of the U 11 came from?

It's okay to be a fan of HTC, but you must know what they did right, and everything they did wrong. I'm also a fanboy but I'm not afraid of telling my favorite brand's failures as well, and so must you do.

-Oh really? Send me a proof that the One M8 beats the S5's camera, let alone the Note 4.

"And Sony has been the least innovative company so far. No wonder they die faster than HTC"
-That's disrespectful. You don't thank Sony for starting the waterproof smartphones trend which your HTC is now copying.

Good old days of Windows Mobile. Most people don't know this at one time before Android and IPhone, HTC and Windows mobile had a big market share for smartphones. The user interface was similar to of a Windows PC with Start menu and all. And we had to use a stylus. It was cutting edge at the time.
