As long as XZ1 Compact has IP rating, stereo speaker, slim bezels on the side, and generous battery, even if it's equipped with SD660 or even SD630 I won't mind. I'm excited.

Seriously! Sony really needs to follow up the trend! Today's flagships are QHD+Thin bezel.
Hope they start using QHD on their next flagship and get rid that thick top + bottom bezel. I like Sony design, its unique, different from others. Years ago xperias was very popular in my country but now meh... most ppl switched to samsung. No more "wow! its xperia!, as expected xperia....".

I wish a compact with 4.7" FHD screen, less than 8.5 mm thick with around the same battery. I know they want to stay in the less than 66 mm wide ballpark but I think thickness also contributes to compactness. If they went for a little more surface they can achieve a more slender look.

In fact, you'll have to hold the screen to your eye (or use a magnifying glass) in order to see the pixels.

If you ask me, this is more than enough for practically every purpose except VR.

The fingerprint issue in US is about an old deal with a very popular carrier.
This contract expires in 2018, so Sony can enable it again, maybe even for older X phones

Only if they will improve audio output (speaker and headphone volume) quality. Say extra icing on the cake reduce the top and bottom bezels?

This camera uses 240 auto focus tracking points. They record 1080p videos at 240fps, 4k at 60fps, and continuous mode shoots 6k at 10fps, slow motion also available. The quality of 4k is enhanced to bitrate of 100mbps. Sony may add 4 microphones for 3d audio. Atlast back to 24megapixel camera. Sorry guys display is back to 1080 and no hdr support except that hdr10 videos will have auto contrast enhancement..
