AnonD-664474, 24 May 2017Okay, so it brought what amazing thing? Manual Video recor... moreLG V10 was a pretty great phone. I'll list out some things it was notable for:

Secondary screen. Re-invented how notifications can be seen and paved the way for Always On screens in LG, then Samsung and others.

Re-started the dual camera trend with it's different FoV selfie camera's. This dual camera trend from LG, has now been picked up by almost all manufacturers.

An emphasis on build quality. Even the supplied earphones were high-quality. The V10 had a pretty sturdy design, with MIL-STD rating and it's sides were made of stainless steel, unlike aluminium in today's metal phones. And that removable back was made from hard rubber, excellent for grip.

Superb 16MP f/1.8 main camera with Professional Camera Features. (One of the best camera's in 2015)

A smartphone with a heavy focus on audio prowess.

MicroSD card, FM Radio, IR Blaster, Removable battery : A combination very hard to find these days.

Manual Video recording? Sure, I'd give it to them. What else though?

Not trying to hate, but I can't seem to find any spectacular pioneering feature that the phone has.

If anything, Samsung, Apple, HTC, and Sony are the pioneer brands of the smartphone world.

-Samsung brought the first 14nm FinFET processor.
-Dual curved edges are awesome if not really that very useful.
-Started the OLED screen trend for smartphones.
-Manufactures the RAM for most smartphones.
              -Most feature-packed devices.

-Apple made the first true smartphone, no doubt about that.
-Included a fingerprint reader for smartphones.
-Was the first to have more than 300ppi screen.
-Introduced a reversible cable for smartphones.
-Most supported and longest lasting, but least feature-packed OS on a mobile smartphone.

-HTC was the first Android phone manufacturer in the world.
-Pioneered the antenna band lines design on most smartphones.
-Packed the best stereo speakers on a smartphone.
-Introduced an UltraPixel solution for camera (now is at its best).

-Sony made the first waterproof smartphone, no doubt about it.
-Introduced 4K video recording on smartphones.
-First to use a gimball EIS stabilization for videos (and is still by far the best stabilization in the world hands down.)
-Introduced the first 4K and 4K HDR screen smartphones.
-Introduced the very first near-1000fps Slow Motion video recording on smartphones (and we thought it's impossible to be had on smartphones).
-One of the few to offer a dedicated camera shutter key (you'll eventually know how much it feels like with that key.)
-Has the best fingerprint reader placement on a smartphone.

Just so you know, we still appreciate things that LG had in the past.
              -The creative backside buttons.
              -The removable battery flagship phones.
              -The IR Blaster flagship phones.
              -The modular design smartphones.
              -The great camera UI.
But those are simple things but nothing truly revoutionary like any of those I've mentioned.

Again, not intended to hate, but while thw V10 is a great phone of its time, it really has no game-changing feature that breaks the ground for people.

It's only in Android where updates are like news flash. Like heaven sent. Something like that. People be waiting for years for a single update. Some don't even receive it ever. One of the reasons why I hate Android.

It's a bit late, but better late than never, especially considering that the LG V10 is one of the best, most awesome & most pioneering smartphone in recent years.

This is fake news, in XDA someone posted prints of the Korean model with 7.0 but as i know (because i have a v10) when take a screenshot the second screen appear in the screenshot too but this is not the case and i doubt the person who take the sreenshot disable the second screen.

And anyway, the Open Source site of LG doesnt have the source code fot the F600 variant even others of V10...so, this maybe is a fake news...LG dont release a update after put the source code in the website.

Lets wait and see, i need veridic screenshots and not "fake ones" to alarm people and then make them angry.

                          Noice.
Now when's the G4 gonna get it?
