JVK was not a "custom rom based on the nexus s"
you're a news site, get your stuff right.
JVK was a leaked version of samsung "real deal"
the released version is JVB
nexus based rom is CM7 and has only little to see with samsung rom except for the kernel (new samsung "real deal" is ACTUALLY based on the nexus s kernel)

(UK) Gingerbread now available to download via Kies...
;)
That's 3 updates (at least) I've had for this phone now...
Whatever Samsung's updating history - I think people need to give them the benefit of the doubt...
I had an HTC Hero and it NEVER got updated during the lifetime of my contract...
And Sonyericsson - well, they're just a nightmare...
And we all know that Motorola don't give a hoot once a phone is released, promising to update and they retracting it...
I think most of the mobile companies are pretty poor - but I have to say, Sammy is getting its act together... it certainly is making me think of getting the G2

xXx, 18 Apr 2011dude.. you're not a samsung guy. so dont talk like you know... moreListen "dude" im not a Samsung guy but I own a Samsung Wave, so Stop acting like you know me because you don't.
Is bringing a nice phone to the market and then abandoning it being fair to the owners of their phones? This is the first time Samsung has really seemed interested in helping users, where was the support all these years? I applaud them for doing the right thing but its about damn time. Also before you think im a samsung hater I also own two samsung TV's both LCD tv's one is LED adn the other is not. I like there products but there support sucks, plain and simple.

Raj, 17 Apr 2011No, but I can make any comment I want. Samsung has been stu... moredude.. you're not a samsung guy. so dont talk like you know everything. samsung have their own market strategy. on my opinion, they want to introduce to people their latest product using the latest android firmware. that is galaxy S II dude, after that, updating the former galaxy S just on the go.
