18 April, 2011
Isn't smartphone evolution just wonderful? We've only just arrived at the dual-core stages of the mobile evolution and we are just about to witness another huge leap forward. Samsung has just revealed...

Laurynas, 18 Apr 2011Who knows maybe in the near future SAMSUNG or any other man... moreThe current li-ion and li-polymer batteries are the same NASA uses in their spacecraft, so, no, more capacitous batteries aren't coming.

The only things that are coming, however are more stupid games, useless applications, power hungry OSes, bigger dimensions, cheaper plastics, and worsening sound quality.

I'd say more digital zombies and geekified teens, unaware of anything beyond their smartphone are also the disasters of 2012 that are coming. :LOL

Who knows maybe in the near future SAMSUNG or any other manufacturer will bring us a new more capacious batteries.
So, please stop crying and interpretating about a batteries, because this topic is not about them, it is about a new 2GHz dual-core CPU. We even doesn't know, MAYBE this CPU will be extremely economical...

          P.S.
Manufacturers are not so stupid, they also think about a CPU heat and I think that they surely has solution for it.

It's good, like laptops replaced desktops, now phones will replace laptops.
I dont know why everybody is cursing it.
As far as functionality is concerned you can run Windows 7(By Hacking) like a charm on a 2GHz processor, enough ram is already available.
For battery issues, they are not fools, they are fabricating a low power chip like 1GHz dual core otherwise they would have used any other Intel like Atom.

Just imagine how long a 1500 or 1900 mAh battery they now put in because of these monstrous CPUs, would have lasted if people didn't buy this gigahertz nonsence... Instead you get hot, thin, slippery to hold big screens (no design at all), that last for 30 minutes :LOL

So, 2 GHz, what? Cool for 12 year old kids that get excited so easily, just a nuisance for grown up people.

Not to mention these touchscreens have already become so boring and obtrusive, it's unbearable. Classic hardware keys are so much better.

Don't be fool, your ... moreYou have to be blind if you believe that there is no advancement in functionality in Android where this CPU would most likely be used. Btw, Nokia does the same thing with their phones. Remember how they kept pushing the N series one after another around 2007-2008? Nokia is no different from Samsung except that Nokia is falling behind these days and you don't have to be a hater to see that. I used to troll Android news and praise Nokia but it's time to get real. I like Nokia but I applaud Android on what they have accomplished in just 3 years.

Don't be fool, your smartphone have to be good and useful for you and that's all, all this processing power is only for impress people and probably will bring no better functionality. The only thing Samsung is doing is trying to make their new Galaxy SII outdated even before the official release.

They should take advantage of new technology to decrease battery consumption, not only using it to increasing the numbers to sell phones for fool people. What you will do with all this processing power? Watch 1080p videos on Youtube direct from the web browser on a 4" screen or so? Oh, so amazing.

The only way to "get our life back" is maybe to start change our phones and all other gadgets less frequently - 3 or maybe 4, even 5 years. That's how manufacturers will have to focus on quality, not numbers

LoL this is just madness...I like they think everyone need this kind of power.

GET REA, better go and buy an Netbook or UMPC, but for phones is a nono..

Or maybe they going to make a 10000mAH batteries for this thing, and just last 3 hours, and they wil includes in the package all kinds of AC cables for charge, or maybe a little nuclear power plant/solar power plan for get satisfy this power-hunger gadget.

For other hand Nokia with 600 Mhz stills getting too much battery for spare, even actual android last around 2 days...hmmm not goo getting this king of "mobility" power.
