Prince Ayaan, 18 Apr 2011its sounds prety Interesting but no one gonna buy a 2Gh dua... moreI have to disagree with you.
In our days technologies are moving really fast and that's mean they are getting old really fast too. And in this case prices also falls down really fast.

games, 18 Apr 2011lol with a nuclear-powered battery? Smartphones (especially... morei totally agree..... battery something they have to work upon before increasing the speed, Which is actually not that necessary. A smartphone battery now wont even last a day.

AnonD-5299, 18 Apr 2011Seriously, we all might as well pick up out laptops and put... morethe reason these technologies and capabilities is increasing as it is , is due to projected demands, look at pc's and their evolutions in terms of capabilities, based on the demands of a few creatinga market, and those expanded capabilities becoming mainstream and common place, we are simply seeing the same in smartphones.

A few people want the top of the line with the best features so the manufacturers bring out top of the line handsets a few people go for, the features in that top of line phone when its replacement appears becomes the next mid lines phone capabilites and then the entry level.

If you dont feel you need those capabilities then you dont need to buy the phone, but if you want the systems offered and aspire to something new and vibrant then grab with both hands,

it is what has taken us from being a world sat on the backs of nags and donkeys not travelling beyond our own villages to reaching out accross countries in everyday life

AnonD-2623, 18 Apr 2011in time we will play pc games, psp3 games or xbox games on ... morelol with a nuclear-powered battery? Smartphones (especially Androids) have a sucky battery life even now, and NOBODY is bothering to up battery technology because of idiot users who just want large numbers. Take, for example, HTC Desire HD, Galaxy S, X10, or iPhone 4(have used all) if ye were stranded smewhere, none of these phones could serve u for more than 24hrs coz of their sucky batteries(bt I mst say the DHD makes the others seem somewhat look acceptable)

The source article is so full of mistakes that it's not even funny. First, there's no way in hell that making a single core 4Ghz is the same as making two 2Ghz cores. Secondly, Hz are in no way a measurement for direct CPU performance (i.e. a dual core Samsung 2Ghz CPU is not as fast as a Core 2 Duo @ 2Ghz, despite the clock)...

i believe that it's only fair that smart phones are approaching laptops with their abilities, as they have been costing almost the same for a while now! i always thought it was stupid to pay 500-600 euros for nokia n95 when it had only 33omhz dual-cpu and 128mb of ram, although it was realy working smoothly, same thing goes for iphone,, now the good thing is that samsung tab 8 with it's dual-cpu is cheaper (releas prices) than samsung galaxy tab with it's single-core,, so i know 2012 gadgets won't cost more as well, but will give u the abilities of a 2009 laptop! now i wouldn't feel fooled when paying 500€ for a tablet with samsung 2 X 1ghz or qualcomm 4 X 2.5ghz!

Seriously, we all might as well pick up out laptops and put it in our pockets and use Windows live to communicate.

4GHz phone? It's not neccessary. My 600MHz android phone is blazing fast already. Normal dual-cores aren't even needed really.

Prince Ayaan, 18 Apr 2011its sounds prety Interesting but no one gonna buy a 2Gh dua... moreUnfortunately your type of thinking doesn't flow with the masses, ie, the companies that think big and the consumers that will now buy phones because of thier specs. Barring network tarriffs, once upon a time a phone was seen as just a convenient accessory in which it was used to make calls and send texts and snap the odd photo, this is the demographic which you belong in. Since the introduction of the IPhone and phones before it which made popular the touchscreen and the portable computer in a phone/tablet, it's now about ease of use, gaming, watching movies on the go and most importantly surfing the internet. In today's digital world, this is very much to the demand of the consumer. Forgive me sir, you sound like one of them luddites who think we should still be using horse carriages and relying solely on oil and petrol.

This is so poor, just 2 GHz. I think I will skip this one and wait for a new Google Nexus 3 with 100 CPU cores. Google is just testing this new CPU.

No considerable improvement in battery, yet these coys keep churning out power consuming hardware. In terms of internet usage. My SGS don't last as much as my Nokia E5.
