Or if that does not concern you, does those OEMs promising, at the very least, monthly security updates? At least HMD did. They already releasing monthly security updates for already released Chinese version of Nokia 6. We still need to wait and see about how long they will roll the major update relatively to Pixel devices. But at least the promise is there. For people who care about latest update, this is the cheaper option compared to Pixel lineup.

HMD is dedicated to provide future updates with even that SD430 which your beloved Samsung doesn't provide even to their flagships. HMD promised to update these mid segment Nokias to Android O as well as on P so what else u need ? On paper specs ? Go and get your cheap Chinese craps which don't have customer support, updates etc.....nothing

Xperia XZ Premium got "Best Smartphone of MWC17" award as well.

This is why we hate DUMB FANBOY TROLL...
Budget segment = low-end = price range below US$150.
No way Nokia 5 & 6 could be included in "budget segment" BS by looking at its offering price.
The "correct example" of "budget segment" Android phone should be Xiaomi Redmi series phones:
-) Redmi 3s prime & is the one "worthy" to be included in "Budget segment", as its asking price, as well as its specs is SO SIMILAR to Nokia 6 (SD430/3GB RAM/32GB ROM)
-) Redmi 3s, 3x, & 4 are another "worthy" devices to be included in "Budget segment", as they're SO SIMILAR (if not better) to Nokia 5 (SD430/2GB RAM/16GB/720p display)
Now, since we're talking about "budget segment" device, why not looking at Redmi 4x & 4 prime?
Redmi 4x equipped with the LATEST SD4xx series (SD435), and have 4GB RAM 64GB ROM variant which is SIMILAR with Nokia 6 Arte (OVERPRICED version), priced less than US$200 (in my country, at least).
Redmi 4 prime is the "King" in budget segment, powered by SD625 with 3GB RAM & 32GB ROM, FHD display, and coupled with 4100mAh making it a monster in terms of battery life.
Yet, STILL priced around US$200 (the price in my country is lower than that, though).
So, WHAT did u expect from Nokia 6 other than its so called "tank-like rigidity thanks to LOTS of screws"?
My advice: When buying "budget segment" Android phone, don't bother buying a device priced more than US$200, especially OVERPRICED ones like Nokia, as u'll regret it later, if not for being laggy, broken, or newer phones with BETTER specs at the same price u pay last year is launched!
