So, the only difference between this and the X8 is gonna be the Music player? Is it gonna have hardware music buttons? like Play/Pause, Next Track, Previous Track? Cuz if so, this could be a serious hit. It'd be really popular in India.

Not much innovation in terms of product features in this phone. What is the difference from x8?

They should make a powerful high-end Walkman Android phone, with big screen, slim running Gingerbread.. That will be even cooler just like Xperia Arc

And this is y they have trouble making profits. No vision, I would suggest they make a flag ship walkman sporting a dual core, 4" screen, 8mp cam 1080p recording, support 4 all music file n video codecs support n also running gingerbread of course. After that they can mk feature walkman phones with gingerbread nt 2.0 or 2.1 nt even 2.2. Damn it Sony u are so sickening.

[deleted post]If you use little bit of sense (considering there is any) you will see this handset is screaming 2 things a loud - "for-low-price-market", "for-mid-range-users". Technically both things are same and the point is, it is for those featured phone users who might want to level their investment up a bit and more of a music-lover first. For them it is a good pick for others it is not - so better fix the mind-set before bad-mouthing against any product. Not all of them are for high-end users or high-end uses.

Could have made it better, bit more stylish with Froyo/Gingerbread. Feels like Xperia only. Not a proper Walkman branding..

No mention of its support for OS updates? If it cannot be upgraded to 2.2 or 2.3, a lot of folks will be turned off from it (those without the ability or who are unwilling to spend a lot of time rooting their phones). The only thing going for it now is its Walkman label. The rest of the specs are so yesteryear, they suggest a lower-midrange model, probably around the same pricing tier as the LG Optimus One P500.
