I am currently using Samsung Galaxy S8+. It's 70 percent is more than enough for a day. The main problem with this device is the standby battery drainage. Whatever. it's a lot better than LG G6 Sony Xperia XZ premium in case of battery longevity.

Its just the looks of the device and a bunch of gimmicks which you can talk about and show people but it does nothing better then the S7 edge. Simple tasks are even worse like unlocking, battery durability, handling the handset without touching the display (watching movies...) and so on.
If you have overstock of something that doesnt sell good enough the first thing you do is decrease the price.

It depends on what you like but i prefer other brands as they offer more to what i want like battery life. Samsung phones must have the worst battery life. Just try mate 9 or mate9 pro and you will know what i mean. I always like HTC as well due to its solid system. Some may prefer LG and even sony. Not imprssed with Samsung.
People in any case are fed up with changing phones so often.

That's neither impressive nor a new product. Same Ram, basically same processor, WORSE battery life, same camera (as per Dx0) samed pixel density, awkward fingerprint placement....
It's probably the worst Samsung flagship eber. It literally improved nothing and actually made steps backs (taller for absolutely no reason, less battery, fingerprint turned semi useless)...

2017 the year of truth. Not much people buys gimmicks anymore. Still waiting for a new iphone launch, if all it has to offer is "fastest phone alive" again, I think it will hit a roadblock too. Unconciously, people are demanding for actual improvements

the mate 9 is a monster with claws and fangs . it may be from 2016 but it behaves like it is from 2017. kirin 960 is a predator and the software is cheetah-fast but with amazing stamina.
S8+ is proving to be a cunning opponent but the imminent launch of the note8 is making a lot of people hold back. the fingerprint scanner position does not help matters in any way. samsung, how could you? with all this talk of design, how could you? aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!!

These are the prices that these phones should have been sold at in the first place. These prices are making people go for the mate 9 or the g6 for flagship gains. i am currently trying to choose btw mate 9 and s8+. the only deciding factors in favor of the s8+ are wqhd screen and samsung pay.
the mate 9 does not have a hint of stutter or lag and this is before you turn off animation and utilise greenify app.
In the end, i'll probably just buy an s7 edge when the price drops further in a couple of months.

1 - Camera improved much over the S6 family / Note 5 in low light.
2 - Processor has seen a noticeably twice better performance, benchmarks wise (and definitely is the most efficient processor of any smartphone of its time).
3 - It has the best flagship smartphone battery life.
4 - It brought back many great features that they have removed from the S6 family / Note 5, namely the SD Card Slot and IP Rating.
I mean the S8 twins are still fantastic on their own, just didn't meet up people's hype as much as the S7 twins did.

Cannot imagine people at the stores buying regular versions being like "Wow, i have the best Samsung has to offer".

In my country this phone so far been big flop, just yesterday i asked from carrier if people still buying these and he said very few, in first two weeks it sold ok.
Knowing the very competitive android market, the price of this phone is just way too much for masses.
