09 June 2017
The company is postponing the series launch because of design overhaul and efficiency upgrades.

The simple task of Asus Zenfone is to stop its enormous quantity of bloatware. Stop trying to be the mother of all utilities apps and keep the apps lean and simple. What I want is connectivity with the pc to transfer photos (to and from), good ring tones loud and clear, good battery to last 10 hours of use, and stop that anti virus software Dr safety in the phone...pure garbage. 4/64 GB for memory and SD 650 series and above for all phones. 16 - 20 mp camera. Think about my suggestion of specs and good luck. Says the lord.

Anonymous, 10 Jun 2017It seems Asus Mobile is gonna die faster than HTCvery soon by Q1 2018. Its phone lacked the ability to update to newer OS and its system prevented me from updating. So I stayed put and use until the 601KL dies out itself. Look for other brands for guaranteed updates like xiaomi. My redmi note 1 is still receiving updates despite coming to 3 years after buying.

They are not success at the moment due to their pricing strategy, but their quality built is good. Now it's up to them to find the balance between those two.

NO MORE THAN TWO DIGITS of potential buyers buy brand new ASUS phone in Indonesia.
MOST of them are buying Xiaomi, Lenovo, Alcatel, or Infinix. If it's Xiaomi @ IDR 2M-3.5M, people will go for: Redmi Note 3 pro, Note 4 (both version, 4GB RAM SD625 mostly), Mi Max, or go straight to last year flagship Mi 5/5s.

People who buy Lenovo mostly interested by the "free VR" gimmick, which actually NOT FREE (u buy the device w/o WR, u get cheaper price)

Alcatel? Their Online marketing of "Flash" series here is great, but their devices are not that great, as it use MediaTek.

Infinix is similar with Alcatel, except they have similar lineup as Xiaomi: hot (Redmi) for budget, hot note (Redmi Note) for lower mid-range, and Zero (Mi) for "flagship" (which is not, by any stretch, unlike Xiaomi, except camera & DAC)

ASUS is only "booming" in 2014-2015, thanks to its 1st gen Zenfone & "2in-1 flagship killer" Padfone S, and "4GB RAM flagship killer" Zenfone 2. That's it!
Even the much anticipated Asus Nexus 7 go unheard, as the version that comes here is the no cellular version and still expensive!

I almost buy ZF2 cuz of its 4GB RAM, but after hearing TONS OF PROBLEM (ghost touch, no MM OTA update, no-read SIM card, rapid battery depletion, etc), now I'm happy with Mi5 (adding a little get me 64GB version) with better camera, good battery endurance, OTA updates, no ghost touch, both SIM works & the best SoC (at least until Cortex A75 produced).

meh..., 10 Jun 2017asus smartphone products = poor build quality and buggy softwarePoor build quality a bit, but let me slap you in your face with my Zenfone Max's smooth day-to-day performance with almost no stuttering except when charging or updating (very expected for such a weak hardware).

And should I make you cry with the battery life of my device? I get a solid 10 hours of SoT with intensive internet browsing, gaming, and multimedia consumpting. Can your $200 smartphone do that?

But still oppo has more worst pricing than ASUS cause mass ads like oppo F3.

-zenfone 2 was good..but the main problem is build quality..plastic camera lens cover lol many ppl complaining it scratches tooo easy.
-to overcome the problem, zenfone 3 uses glass for camera lens cover-very good, but the price is just.....................................................................not cheap anymore like zenfone 2, ppl tend to switch to cheaper alternative like xiaomi

                                      Won't blame them.
I love the amount of support my Zenfone Max gets. I even have a more latest security patch level than my sister's LG G4.

Even here in the Philippines, Asus is one of the many popular phones used here, second to Oppo, Samsung, Huawei, and Apple.
