To those people in the comment who were saying: "who will buy this phone seriously?":
- this is a budget level phone. People who buy budget phones usually don't care about the type of chipset used in the phone, or they totally have no idea how the chipset could influence the usage in the phone. They care more about camera megapixels and other things such as screen size and storage.
- there are many people who do not know the difference between every chipset used in the phone. They have no idea about the history, which chipset brand is good/bad, the speed of the chipset etc. Even many salesmen wouldn't know the details of the chipset.
- for some people, they just walk into the store physically, look at the phone and buy the phone without actually researching further anything about the phone, when they find the phone appealing to them in the first impression such as the design and special feature such as 20MP selfie camera.
- most people are attracted by looks (design of the phone) and tend to focus more on famous features used in advertisement to attract people such as 4000mAH battery, 20MP selfie camera

The first time I saw a gionee phone, it was with someone who was a fool because only a fool will buy their phone. Samsung is throwing big punch with their J series. How can this compare to Nokia 6 or any Chinese brand at this rang. I think geonee imagine them self to be apple.

all these chinese, and asian phones basically the same phones with ever so slight modifications to the shell and slight variations in specs, they all look like little clones of the previous model and of other companies handsets

They put a whopping good 13MP rear cam and 20MP front cam but shitty processor. They thought it can handle the camera well but this kind of clock speed?!?! They can't even handle simple tasks like google chrome u already can experience lag. Its like that time when BlackBerry wanted to have a good phone like Priv, but they choose the wrong chipset which ruin the whole phone's impression. Silly chinese phone manufacturers

Gionee is one those deluded Chinese phone manufacturers that thinks that they better than what they are, why rehashing a very outdated Mtk 6753 1.3ghz SOC on this A1 lite? I guess they feel that their target market is dumb, superficial and doesn't care about specs, all I can say is...Gionee is suffering from delusion and greed, blackberry once suffered from the same affliction, look at where it got them.
