Weekly poll results: a Nokia flagship is hotly anticipated, low-enders get the cold shoulder

25 June 2017
Surprisingly, the Nokia 3310 ranked higher than the 5 and the 3. We guess nostalgia trumps Android sometimes.

Nokia should bring back the past with a vengance. Everyone knows the quality that had the nokia stamp.

If they can make a device like that then they have no problem is becoming a contender to fear.....

I wish HMD would revive Nokia E7 and make an Android version with a bigger screen. My god I loved the design on that phone. The keyboard was great and the sliding mechanism worked perfectly for the two years I used the phone. It was so enjoyable to open the keyboard that I sometimes noticed I was opening and closing it without even realizing it. I loved how the opened keyboard would serve as a stand to the phone, and would keep the display in an angled position where you could see the screen all the time when it was at your desk. There was no need for the cumbersome phone holders I have to use with these slabs that all look alike.

E7 also felt great when holding it. It was a bit fat when compared with current phones but the rounded shapes made it feel quite natural in your hand.

Perhaps Nokia 5 and 3 don't have as much unique about them, as compared to the 3310.
Doesn't make the 3310 a better device though.

            Yeah definitely.

I am interested in Nokia 9,
The brand I was using 2010 to 2013.
              But price expected around 12000.

Use of mobile phone is limited to 2/3 years only spending

I like the Nokia 6. However, when you look at the 5, it has a very different and beautiful smooth edge to the body. I like it. Great test phones.

Nokia 9 is coming with the exclusive Nokia OZO Audio enabled. Significantly different from the normal phone audio. https://ozo.nokia.com/eu/nokia-ozo-audio

I can't wait to see it. 5.2 is a good manageable size. I hope attention is paid to aesthetics. HTC & Nokia rock.

For all those who says Nokia is dead or lumia was the last best nokia or even the symbian was the best well hell yeah it was the best in there time. Have you'll ever used the android Nokia first and foremost? Well no one is ever forcing anyone of you to get a Nokia if you really don't want to! But remember people who love the nokia brand would go for it no matter it's made in where or it's returning after a hiatus! Just don't criticize anything without a valid reason fir god sake!

Baz, 25 Jun 2017Can nokia just bring back the Symbian OS, that is optimized... moreNo.. they will fail harder then , as it will have the same apps problem again..

HMd has aced build quality, durability and stock OS with regular updates ..
full marks to them on these areas.. truly Nokia spirit

The arear where they lack is camera.. cameras have been just average ..on both Nokia 6 and Nokia 3 .. very ordinary .. cameras was nokias strength .. you could pick any Nokia and it was guranteed to have a great camera compared to other similarly priced phones.. more than specs or price this is one area they need to work on...

If they had good cameras , you could justify the prices and lower specs.. specs was never the area where Nokia used to excel .. so they will have weaker specs always compared to Motorola or Chinese brands .. but still not vastly different from Samsung..

Without good cameras they look expensive ...

I would greatly appreciate a 6.2 inch device with 16:9 ratio, not taller than 16 cm, super amoled 500ppi, latest generation chips, out of screen capacitive buttons, front stereo speakers, ir blaster, superior front and back cameras, all sensors, all connectivity options, wireless charging, micro sd card expansion, superior build quality, huuuuge battery, all features, best quality. Make it and take my money.

I'm a little worried about the alleged 5.3" screen of the Nokia 9, that is too small for the premium model.

Makes sense releasing lower end models first.
They can get feedback and opinions and use them to make the high end better.

The Nokia brand is not as much about technology as it is capitalizing on nostalgia and playing on the peoples longing for a time when life was better.

With Microsoft its a flop. With android still a flop. Ironically, their feature phone got high vote. The King is back but not with a strong first impression. Show us a flagship with interesting features then it might go well. Affordable low buget and midranger not working in their favor as of now.
