My experience with Marshmallow, especially using default camera was horrible. Most of the common users prefer a default camera app than RAW that needs its settings to be tweaked out. The camera features are highly boasted by Asus, In reality, this phone doesn't do any justice. Please feel free to watch some sample videos and photos in Youtube that actually proves my comment.

Why don't you go and watch some videos and photos shot by this phone in youtube and see for yourselves? I have used this phone personally with Android 6 and hence my verdict. I still stand by my comment. The camera and video is awfully hyper contrast, noisy and the low light shots are a disaster.

Assuseless, 23 Jun 2017Don't buy this phone. The camera quality is mediocre. The s... moreThis is not true. I had this phone over one week and I took 100 of photos. I compared it with SGS7e and must admit, especially with 2,3 zoom results are better for Asus. With 1x zoom SGS7e offer more details.
By the way @gsmarena, in Slovakia Asus Zenfone Zoom S is already officially started more than one week ago.

Don't buy this phone. The camera quality is mediocre. The shots are over saturated with hyper contrast and the night shots are awful. You only get black details more in photos or videos. This is one of those companies, who just don't care to customer's issues. One gotta see their fb page visitor's posts and judge them from there.

I like that Apple, OnePlus, and Asus have added optical zoom. We need more reach though!

Wow, that's a pretty decent phone, if it had a SD650 or 660 series I would get one and accept it for what it is, counting on very little in the way of software updates.

Everyone should look into the "white line" display issue that customers are having with this phone. Apparently there are a lot of units in circulation that begin to develop a white line across the bottom of the display.
