I have both a Gear S3 and a LG Smartwatch with Android wear, i prefer hands down Tizen on a watch, very fast and well designed, everything works perfectly.

Apple should just release their watch app for android, it's not that hard and would make for a much bigger consumer group. I mean iTunes for synchronizing iPhones is also available on Windows, and Apple Music is there in Android and hopefully also for Windows in the near future.

I think the best smartwatches are the LG Urbane and Huawei Watch.
If the Gear S3 Frontier (non-LTE) had AndroidWear 2.0.... well that would be the best smartwatch in my honest opinion.

The "circular" watches are NOT a fad.
They can accomodate more watch faces and blend in for Adventure scenario, Casual scenario, or a Black-Tie scenario.

And if health apps are most important, then there is no point in buying a smartwatch which is very expensive, just buy a fitness band instead. All of them also tell time.Smartwatches are fashion accessories more or less with capabilities of a fitness band.
And btw, android wear has all the essentials as well and some watches have a very reaonable price.

But then apple watch apps are way better. Then again they both beat Android Wear. And no. Running Android Wear just for the apps won't give itaby advantage. There is only a handful of apps that are worth using on a smart watch. Most are health apps.

I love wearing an analogue watch every day, but I don't think I will buy a smartwatch in the near future, because I don't find it that useful when you have a normal watch and a phone.

Samsung Gear S3 seems to be far more value for money but Apple watch ecosystem and premium sounding value obviously creating buzz in the wearable market. Not sure Tizen OS going to be a good choice for Samsung considering their mobiles are running different flavours of Android

What about smartphones with headphone jacks? Who won that?
