Great job to Xiaomi team and keep going to offer great devices with excellent combination of hardware & software in reasonable price
I want next gen of Xiaomi 4 as Xiaomi 4 Plus with full HD screen with "same design" and improved hardware & software in affordable price and different colors such as Matt Red/Blue for (10,000.00 INR)

Ghostwolf, 27 Jun 2017And how many will be in a landfill within a year? Cheap junk.Seriously, the Redmi 4 will actually last longer than most flagship phones from Blackberry, Samsung, Apple and Microsoft. The reason? Well, #1. It has 4100mAh battery. Batteries lose capacity over time and by the time the battery reaches 50% of its original capacity, most flagship phones which have stupidly small battery capacities will be dead with no hope of replacement (planned obsolescence). Reason #2. The Redmi 4 has FM radio. Most (if not all) flagships don't have FM radio. By the time the flagship phone's processor and android version becomes obsolete, you can throw the flagship phone away. Not so with the Redmi 4. You can still use it as your FM radio (until such time FM radio becomes obsolete, which is way longer than the lifespan of flagships nowadays). Reason #3. The redmi 4 has IR blaster. It can serve as your MASTER remote controller for all your appliances. By the time a flagship phone becomes obsolete, it will have no more 'outstanding' flagship features. But with the Redmi 4? Well, you can use it as your master remote controller for all your appliances unless IR based remote controllers become obsolete (which will be way longer than the lifespan of flagship nowadays). Reason #4. Those who buy cheap phones don't have the capacity to buy new phones every two years or so. They keep their devices as long as they work even for just the FM radio, remote controller and flashlight. As for flagship owners? Well they replace them every two years and some, even every year! There phones end up in the trash bin faster because even the camera and flashlight will be useless when the battery capacity will become only 50% of what is used to be.

They could have earned 10 million dollars more just by raising the price by meagre $10. Seeing how they ran out of stock that fast, surely they could afford to do so.

Anonymous, 27 Jun 2017If you buy Xiaomi phone with 2gb ram is like buying a phone... morei think the ui is too heavy. every phone have some ram preserve for the phones sofware. the more heavy the skin the more ram it takes to make every operation run smoothly.

Yes, really a big "Congrats to the Xiaomi team!." They deserve it, although a lot of their devices are mix together, I mean or just slightly different from one another, or different names but almost the same and in cases exactly the same, etc. Such as: Redmi Note 4/4MTK/4X/Qualcomm/just 4/4Prime/4a/another4X but without the Note, and so on. But with that being said, they offer a very value for money phones. And that's why they perform excellently in the Indian market. (Generally, elsewhere too).
