I have only one issue with my Sony Xperia Z5, but not sure if its only my particular phone or its on all of them. Basically when I am watching a movie or doing something e.g. snapchat, when the phone get warm screen becomes darker even if I put the highest brightness it still reduces the brightness to a medium amount. Once I've put the phone on standby for a few minutes it gets back to normal. It gets really annoying when watching a movie the brightness just drop. Is this a feature in Sony phones and can I turn it off or does someone have an explanation? Thanks for any replies in advance.

Installed the 7.1.1. update to Z5. After intsalling I didn't get any mobile signal. I decided to restart the phone. I shut it down normally but when I tried to put phone back on again it didn't do a thing.
When it's connected to a charger it just blinks red light on the led indicator. Great work Sony.

Xperia Z5 Dual Android 7.1.1 update, I can't delete any images from the Album. I can't seem to do it through my PC either!? (maybe separate issues but the first is really inconvenient!

Still waiting for an update which will enable us to block/uninstall the Bloaters which Sony have put on the tablets.

Anonymous, 01 Jul 2017Seriously? You haven't search it on youtube when it's just ... moreEven if it took only just a sec I'm not convinced still! As long as I see nothing wrong with the phone, why should I bother to those tittle-tattles out there? If you get persuaded by it easily, I'm doubt that you would probably be using a 3310 or 8210 still... resilient and no lags!

AnonD-676956, 01 Jul 2017Really love my Z5
Battery is great for me,sound quality us... morestill love my Z5 since day one only thing that I don't like was the overheating even if it less than before but I think is normal since I use heavy apps most of the time
about the camera thing just try to use it in manual mode and believe me you can take great shots with it. BTW still got Z1 and is snappy as usual

Really love my Z5
Battery is great for me,sound quality using poweramp is top notch, very clean, UI is great and fluid, gaming performance in Android 7 is fantastic, huge improvement over marshmallow.
Screen is great, I just love how the speakers are hidden into the bezels, and they are great for watching youtube.
Camera is the only letdown, as pictures are not that great, and there's too much sharpening in photos which really messed up photo quality.
I really wanted to upgrade to the new XZ premium, but I couldn't get over those huge bezels, weak stereo speakers, not that improved camera over the Z5, inferior sound quality through headphones over the Z5.
I just love sony phones, I used to own Z3 which is still working as new, as I handled it to my father, for for now, im not seeing a real update in their new lineup.

Just updated my Z5 Dual, I feel snappier performance than 7.0. Battery last longer eventually not that significant. Tidier interface, noticed them on shortcut notification tray and home launcher. Too bad that camera still lack of manual options.

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2017Tons, bro. Sony is helping out with Android O tremulously. ... moreDo you read? Well I'm quite tremendous that Sony is lending a hand to Google for 'O'? But who really cares? All the Xperia patrons/users care about is how the latter treats of their devices. A respective monthly support, new software of improving its camera, some new features and the term of software upgrading as well would highly prioritized. Do you personally think that if Sony is dedicating themselves for the next major android project would somehow benefits either on you or your device? Seriously are you an Xperia users or a vendor? As far as I'm concerned these words shouldn't been uttered by a smart user.

Anonymous, 28 Jun 2017I do not expect because z5 is 2015. Z4 is 6 months older ... moreYeah? Maybe you get little confused here buddy. Samsung doesn't only launch one flagship a year. You easily talk about the pros of Xperia but you can't even research something that would've take less than 5 seconds on utube. Go ahead and watch some video comparison between Z5 premium and a Note 5! Just stop all nonsense would ya and just name me what are the new features for Z5 presently even its on 7.1.1? Or better yet tell me what exhilarating software does Sony added to Z5 family since day one it launches? You can't even get just a simple new lockscreen.

Dheevara, 29 Jun 2017U mean the latest capabilities of lagging? Shame that even... moreMy dad owns an S8 and I did not see any defect just as you stated. Talks are cheap, show me how it 'lags'? But even with 7.1.1 for Z5, Sony are rubbish still!
