Both of them do have their own pros n con...apple still strong with their market but suck with Itunes,No-Expansion n no flash feature....Android got their expansion,flash and no itunes alike needed but Market still long way.........n when they do,it's true apple will havin tough time...they piss with android but why samsung got the blame?..Portability still max till 5 Inch..more than that its too cumbersome n tiring...10Inch still too big at home,Why android follow apple?This is backfire to what u had said to ipad year ago,Im rather with notebook or desktop economically..this just my analysis..im just an outsider..pardon me,ok?

good for Samsung and here's how they did it - by producing cheap quality phones with ugly designs with VERY good hardware produced one after another after another after another like a rabbit. They don't care for the previous handsets they have produced. They depend TOTALLY on Andriod (which is a battery guzzling but good OS).
in short 'what have they done for old customers???'

The displays made by samsung are the best, lively colors, blacker blacks, and higher PPIs. I dont like the complexity of android, Nokia has never been my favorite (never had a nokia phone) again complexity of symbion even more than android. I bought wave 2 and very happy with its easy interface, its just like sony ericsson phones'(sony ericsson have been my fav till now) Though i'm a bit frustrated by less apps in the app store. But Samsung is maintaining a quality in its app store, which is not in Android Market. I think Samsung knows what a man wants and delivers it. It just wants to make things easier on phones, thats why its successfull.

Well not everyone likes Samsung.
almost 50% of its latest models has this problem that the phone lags then reboots by itself or just reboots by itself while in use.
This bug is also present to the latest Android phones of Samsung.
And according to the Samsung D980 owners, its touchscreen is almost certain to malfunction before 12 months of use.

are u sure about that? search for low and no signal faults and tracking issues which are very BIG problems for a handset..

As an old Samsung customer which except of A Birthday gift Sony Cyber Shot and a Sony DVD-Combo Drive, all of my electronics are Samsung branded and [of course] really happy with them, I must admit 5 or 6 years ago Samsung were a 2nd tire company.
During those years I loved Samsung but deep inside always felt only lower prices are the reason for people to buy Samsung.
But soon after I got my S8500 Wave the things started to change
1.Now I'm sure first time seeing sAMOLED or sAMOLED+ and spending a while with it will convince eveyone to buy it!(first few days of owning that shiny display...Oh man!)
2.currently Samsung products (High end Smartphones to be exact) are unmatched (Like Galaxy S II, either prefering quality and finish or features and price, right now there is no such thing!!).

Next quarter will even be lower as Apple pulls out their business with Samsung. Samsung ruined Nokia's reputation for supplying Nokia with defective screens for the N8, and C7. Samsung is the one to blame for the defects. I hope Samsung loses their patent fight against Apple.

Apple is best updates available straight away and dont have to wait like android users also one problem is companies own UI over android which has to be update with android updates. Samsung is doing well and are offering good competition to rivals. All they want is to be more innovative. well done sammy :)

Buying Ipads only HELPS samsung as they make the bulk of the parts for Apple products. If you buy apple or samsung (or many other brands in various industrys), Samsung wins.

Samsung phones dosent have any resale value because they just keep on changing the models very frequently and dosent provide the firmware update in all the devices as Nokia and apple does......Thus i will never ever by samsung based phone as one i purchased android galaxy 3 and sold it in just a month.....android also just sucks too much battery i will prefer Nokia Symbian or Ipone.

I bought my first Samsung phone - E2370 and it is just superb. It is the only phone from a good manufacturer that has a 20 day backup. And it does everything i want it to. I don't see where the problem with Samsung is?? But I still don't know why Android devices have so less battery backup??
