Nokia finally starts shipping N95

N95 looks set to be a great phone. We all know how S60 OS will function, however, with a fairly large internal memory of 128MB and a faster processor (330MHz), users can expect the experience to be greatly enhanced as compared to models like N73.
Note:
Symbian Phone/NSeries have been know for their laggy responses; this is due to the "always open" approach for all applications that users have used, but have not deliberately close. However, with a larger memory and faster processor (while using the same OS), this should speed up for N95.
I'm not too sure if the GPS is a good idea though... it might totally be The App that slows the phone down. :-p

saw this phone at my local bdigital outlet. It's not as big as i thought. But the screen was bigger than i expected. It's skinnier than the N80 but much more wider. I haven't tried the features and stuff since it was only a display model. However the sales rep. said he should be getting some in towards the end of March. I'm going to test the thing out before I buy. So far I'm leaning towards buying this beast.

SE fans are so jealous and bashing the N95 as if they themselves have tried this phone already.. If you have no money, then dont buy this! and they are jealous coz until now SE has no capability of releasing this kind of powerful phone. If you go to SE phone section, all you can see there are all the same phone in different colors but same design and same features like 2mp camera & poor QCIF video.. no improvement.. how pathetic.. :(

the 5 megapix is just a marketing strategy by Nokia... Bigger resolution doesn't great image detail. just see the images taken by the SE phones...
And the Carl Zeiss lens! I'd better buy a dedicated digital camera than risking with this crap!

i'd rather buy a laptop! This thing is so expensive that it's impractical to be used as a Mobile phone... Convergence sucks!

hey bro below me,
just wanna correct you for something. if you don't even visited the P990 and any other UIQ 3 sites the phone is ruining 90% stable already with R9 firmware. and if you say P990 sucks because of the slow OS, freezing and hanging then what about nokia? don't they experience the same? and about the windows devices. remember the UIQ 3 OS is supported by a large number of APIs even outperforming windows 5.0 software feature wise interface wise and function wise so i think they decided to announce Windows 6.0 while UIQ 3.1 is also released to counter both s60 and windows mobile.

For people who thinks p990 is better then n95. To start se p990 really sucks, very slow os and freezes alot. The phone has no special features over any mobile windows based phones. People posting about k900 being better then n95, i bet if se makes a k900 it won't support pda features with very low quality video recording and will not support most smart phone softwares(just like the k800). I don't even think k800 is better then n93. K800 has no pda features, its hard to work with gmail, it can't open jpegs doesn't support most mobile based softwares, the video quality sucks it doesn't support edge. The only thing se k800 is better then n93 is the camera and it supports a2dp, and for people who rather buy a laptop for the money, what kind of laptop are you buying the geo metro of laptops. I mean i don't spend 5large on a laptop but 1200, come on. Quality and technology comes with a price, this phone is not for people who drinks champagne water in kool-aid taste.

It`s a very good phone but the price it`s 600e aprox not 1200 ;)
