Some guy got minor burns to his thigh? I could live with that.
Was kinda hoping it would come to the UK for about £400....don't fancy the Note 8 for probably £900-950

Fan Edition includes a fan to cool it lol

Vic4BBM, 03 Jul 2017When will SAMSUNG realise that bieng greedy never helps. ... moreFirst they are selling unsold Note7's with a new battery and definitely would have put this phone through all kinds of tests they proposed(after Note7 debacle) for their future phones to ensure the same episode doesn't repeat and be safe. Do you think Samsung as a dumb company to release untested Note7 again in the market? They know about the repercussions that would arise if Note7 FE again explodes. Don't worry, Samsung would make sure Note7 FE or any other phone from them would be as safe as their pre-Note7 flagships. S8's had no problems till now and so did all flagships before Note7.

if samsung want to be at the top they have to release all their flagship models with snap dragon processor for the whole world not just for us and china . they have to come above this country politics and think of the whole world as their market. samsung phones are good but only with snap dragon processors not with its in house exonys.

                                    what is the price?
It should not be more then 400 USD. Because its recovery policy of fund.
But if set the price higher then this to announce that Note is an expensive brand to sell Note 8 in higher price, can do it. In that case , Note 7 will sell less unit but will justify the extra price for note 8.

Though the Fan Edition is tested by samsung special program, but, In the end, i am not ready to pay more then 400 USD for note 7 because consciously or unconsciously a customer will always in tension, will put it far from his/her bed. So, are you ready to pay more then 400 USD to buy Note 7 FE with tension?

AnonD-632062, 03 Jul 2017Hey neighbour, are you sure about the 20% mark? Could you s... moreI remember watching a YouTube video years ago:
                                      http://youtu.be/rOi1NF7Ipek

Then I also read lots about batteries at battery university dot com. Read about how fast charging will also put extra stresses and shorten the life of a battery. Even trickle charging at different intervals actually helps.

Yeah, plugging in before it hits below 50% will increase the number battery charging cycles. If you need to really optimize your battery is to keep the battery charge between 20 to 80%, and you can have it last 3 to 4 times longer. Not advisable to bring it to 100%.

That battery in Android indicator that tells you "100%" is not entirely accurate. You can't check the decay of the battery over time. In Windows, you can check it with battery report. That's why I record with at least GSam Battery Monitor.

Of course these things means less if a bigger battery capacity is installed - 6000 mAh would be great. If lower phones have that bigger capacities, the high end should at least have a variation with a thicker battery.

What I do know is that to extend the life of the battery, you shouldn't keep plugging it again & again, especially when you are just around 50% (like most people tend to do). Also, when plugged in, let the phone charge to 100% in one go.

But are you sure about the 20% mark (or is it something specific to the Note7)?
I sometimes let it drop till 10-17% before charging it.
