I've heard that the USB flash drive (desktop) business is going to hit a major brick wall at 512, because anyone who needs more external storage is just going to use the cloud. Must be a similar principle with micro-SD cards. Who's going to pay $250+ for a little piece of plastic smaller than a fingernail, to store 5,000+ photos of their fishing trip or grand-kids on a picnic? The product and marketing wizards in these companies are starting to use their heads.

FB in D, 03 Jul 2017I wondered about that, myself. Doesn't seem right.Yep. An untested technology support means it is meant to fail in the first place.

Even nowadays. People can't afford a 256GB microSD card cause it cost more than $200! So people tend to get a smartphone with bigger internal storage like the 128GB version of Samsung galaxy S8+. And expand it with 256GB external storage.

Insetsu, 05 Jul 2017I thought they meant up to 2TB hard drive or ssd, supported... moreHow can you be sure that it is future proof? The 2TB microSD support isn't tested yet cause there ain't no microSD card that has 1TB of storage. Let's not forget that 512GB external microSD support isn't announced or developed yet. Meanwhile. Apple has announced and released the 2017 ipad pro's with 512GB of internal STORAGE!! The only tablet in the world that has 64GB internal storage is the pixel C. But even worst is it doesn't have an external storage support and is not available worldwide.
What's even worst. Apple has pro-motion display which gives it a 120hz refresh rate. And the iphone 8 may have this kind of technology which gives it a better display for VR.

So this year. Apple is throwing out everything. Meanwhile, the android community is in full shock of the apple development.

LG still ain't made a device as good as the G Pad 8.3 from 2013. For the time that device was top of the range, and even performs well now. The metal casing is also superior to this device launched 4 years later, and even the display on the G Pad 8.3 is better.

Ng, 03 Jul 20172TB memory card? expensive that deviceIs there even a 2TB MicroSD storage in the first place?

Lets not forget the fact that there's no current 512GB microSD card available in the market yet! Especially the fact that a single 256GB microSD card cost roughly $200. That includes taxes!

green, 03 Jul 2017why not 4gb ram 64gb internal. why make a tablet less c... moreThe iPad Pro is the most capable tablet and mobile device on the market right now. It's got the X version of the A10 known from the iPhone 7 which bested every phone till the OnePlus 5 (which it is also faster than that, but the slower animations made it fall back in the ram management round, so it is on par if not faster)

$305 for old and slow SD435? This is a joke. LG is always bad at low end and mid range. You can also see it with their TVs. Their high end OLED TVs are great, but anything below $ 1000 is absolute sh*t and can't compete with the competition (Samsung Vizio in the US, Sony, even TCL)

why make a tablet less capable than iPad?

WTF, not even 3gb ram nor a 6xx sd, and people are wondering why the tablet scene is in bad shape right now. I can't even consider this tab a mid-range one.

Please stop these nonsense Mid-range useless tablets give us something really high end weak up!

Hmmm well, let's say not too bad, but then it will depend on its price-to-performance compared to the tough competition.
