Why is this site still taken seriously? They say that the Galaxy S4 has a better camera than the Nokia 1020, and that the Galaxy S5 beats the Nokia 808! This has to be a troll site!

If anyone still gave any credibility to DxO, I think those 87 points for video stabilization in a camera without OIS and whose electronic stabilization can do very little to stop the shaking is... well, self explanatory.

Anonymous, 07 Jul 2017People critics on it but.... Probably you have seen pic... moreThe S8 scored higher actually, the Pixel (last year's flagship) scored higher too with it's humble f/2.0 lens, and the U11 scored the highest. Frankly the low-light experience on those phones is supperior to that of the OP5, not meaning it's a bad camera either. I can confirm you that the iPhone 7 Plus camera isn't that good though, colors aren't always on point and low light performance is slightly above average.
For me, I wouldn't trust them because they were responsible for the camera department of this phone.
                  Have a nice day

kupfernigk, 07 Jul 2017Apparent sharpness is not the same as detail. Seriously? It's not exactly the same but it's closely related.

At times it'll take great shots, then in the same conditions it'll take less detailed pictures. I believe it's more of a software issue than hardware. The camera is fine IMHO.

You need to check your internet before commenting the best website for comparing different phones.
It takes time to load the actual images as it goes to somewhere 8mb to load completely because of which the images looks blurry. Initially I was having the same issues but refreshing the page shown the actual clear image that they are talking about.

Please try again and see if they are good at it or not because from last a decade now I have been completely dependent on GSM Arena for mobile reviews and if it's not Samsung because I check Samsung any phone at my nearby stores (my friend works there at good level).

                            Regards

I'd say it's doing well to get that score. Inconsistent is exactly the right word regarding the OP5 camera experience.

It can take great shots, but has this annoying habit of choosing on its own of when to do so.

It is in urgent need of an update at this point, as I keep looking at the tag line on the side of the box it came in: 'Clearer Photos' and thinking "that's kind of false advertising".
