A 720p powerhouse? Why is it that Sony has a bad rep for falling short, on high-end model phones? I don't care if the phone only has a 4.6" screen. A phone of that price should be 1080p, with QHD video.
Back then, I was so excited to get my Xperia Z Ultra, until I found out there was no flash for the rear camera.

If this is XZ1 Compact, resolution is not the problem. And the camera will probably be higher

It will be 1080p screen. They using X-Reality Pro which the 1080p only triggered when using media files (photos & videos) and other systems using 720p. For a 4.6 screen, that was amazing. Just like XZ premium only open 4k for photos and videos, rest use 1080p. About the main camera, its not 8mp, that was just ideal mp for it (standard for all flagship sony phone, just like 5mp Pureview). The full megapixel still unknown and will be higher, i bet its the same 19mp like XZ premium.

Haha, Nice Sony, No need to upgrade to high MGP just keep small megapixel like 8mgp or 9mgp or 12mgp is enough and it is also has Good Looking photo. Just trying on your system for strong well done and be careful the Heat of the phone, no need it heat up as previous flagship. And the battery life take a very good one inside. I hope the design of the big phone and compact phone is the look, no need to put sensors so far way of the top speaker, keep as big one. Try your best Sony, Love Sony.

People are just unanderstandable at times.
They complain on the XZ Premium having a 4K display, telling it'll kill the battery, but never complained when Saltsung used QHD on a 5.1" device. Yep, I'm describing the S7.
They complained for a 720p display on literally a 4.6" screen device, but loves to have a 1080p display on a 5.5" device, namely OP5.
Sony. The only manufacturer that gets hated for being practical and smart.

The same year, Sony was found to make the second most profits out of their high end flagships, Apple being the number one.

As for the price, this is a rumor and like most xperias wait a little for a price drop and it'll be good value.
