"The Redmi Note 4 became the highest shipped smartphone in the country". Being the successful phone you eliminated this model from getting Android 7. What is this Mi??. If this continues we loose trust upon you. Hope you continue to support previous models despite of launching new models. If not have to look for alternatives.

Billions in revenue and yet somehow still unable to hire more capable coders into their roster to step up at their Android ver updates as the base for MIUI.

If you're gonna get slow to no Android base ver upds anyways, might as well spend your money elsewhere, have fun with other brands and not encourage MIUI cultism while you're at it.

AnonD-625430, 08 Jul 2017Agreed. I'm waiting for Redmi Note 5 to see if it's a worth... moreYeah, performance and efficiency should go hand in hand NOT one gets downgrade and other gets let's say upgrade which isn't in my opinion.
If Note 5 do get SD660 then hell yeah, it will be an instant success in that mobile range.

          Congratulations xiaomi.
You provide best value for money in smartphone space. Moto ,vivo, oppp , xiaomi are selling for the same reason. Now Samsung, sony etc hyped brands price lower than some years ago.
Still I fear that since these are Chinese companies, and looking at growing tensions between India and china at border ; the money they earn will be used by Chinese Govt. to strengthen it's economy and army. In case of war these mobiles may be used to frauds like transfer money to china etc. Since os and mobiles parts are Chinese developed I don't know how much control Chinese have on mobile ecosystem. Written by a first time redmi note 4 user since may 17.

While xiaomi gives snapdragon others give spreadtrum. Lg and Samsung milk India through brand value and not product value. Xiaomi has razor thin profit margins because they give best value for money.

In Redmi Note 5, they should use higher midrange CPU SD660 and improve the camera department as it is the weakest factor of the Note series. Good luck

its such a pain that Indians don't understand their value. These companies dump outdated products in India nd they will still buy at higher prices. why isn't the mi6 not launched in India?why do outdated iphones still sell at such high prices. i feel only Samsung nd lg are loyal to India

Seems on track. And there's much more to come from Xiaomi, among others, there is: the Redmi Note 5, Redmi Pro 2, Mi Note 3, Mi6 Plus (most probably) and the Mi Mix 2 (again, among others). So it seems that Xiaomi is on a quite high wave.

[deleted post]No they will share that with ones making iPhones in Foxconn fab. Reason for Xiaomis success in India is fair treatment of work force & costumers so they produce most selling models in India & are opening Mi stores all around the country making service network stellar.
