I remember the time when Nokia was still relevant enough that we used to complain about their inscrutable naming habits.

I guess SE just one-upped that - why even give different phones different names, really? THERE HAS BEEN az Xperia, Xperia mini, and Xperia mini pro already, has it not?!?

And don't even start with "but these are not called X10 as well..." - they should at least call them X11 or X20 or something...

3 inch screen is joke. But look at all other feature.5MP camera with all sony technology(Image and video stabiliser,Exmor R Sensor,HD video etc....).1 Ghz processor with 512MB RAM,Mini pro has Front camera.Fits in pocket.1200Mh battery.Android 2.3 Gingerbeard OS.Price is the only thing we want to know. It's very handy. It also has XLOUD Music which gives clear loud music through speaker.I must say that an all in one featured phone. It's good if the price is below 18,000 Rupees. It's bang and surprise

Im still dissapotointed that they made them bigger than last generation.
They should have given them another name.
Or perhaps there will be X10 Micro, further ahead, when the resolution can be better on small screens, and still usable in applications not custom designed.

This will probably my next phone if SE won't price the Mini Pro near the Neo. Great specs come in small packages too! :P 3 inch screen + 1GHz processor + video recording + 5MP cam with HD video recording = perfect for students! :P I wonder what's the difference between the processors used in the Mini and the M. Pro?

Anonymous, 05 May 20113" screen in 2011!! joking r? hahayes a 3' screen is decent because not everyone in this world has enough money to buy a large 4 inch one or even higher. so im guessing these 2 phones will be a buget solution from SE

People who criticize 3" screens or less don't understand the concept of "mobile" phones. 4, 5 inch screens are overkill and seem more like mini tablets.

of course the screens are only going to be 3"... there desinged as a smaller alternate to the other sony ericson handsets... if you want a bigger screen then dont get the "mini" phones... its pretty obvious there target media is for people who DONT want a large screen... UGH!

                            looks excellent!

                            3 inches screen is perfect,

phone is not too big or not too small for my pocket,

                            has a qwerty keypad,

                            autofocus camera,

                            3.5mm audio jack

                            and runs on android =D

Anonymous, 05 May 20113" screen in 2011!! joking r? hahaI am not sorry to say this because your type of people are not healthy for the industry growth. This handset is for people who need small size phones. I am one of them, infact I am also ok with 2.5 inchs screen to do more than you imagin. So respect the choice and learn to see outside youe own eyeballs.

                                ITS A MINI DEVICE.

                                MINI. SMALL.

A 1GHz Snapdragon processor on a 480 by 320 3" screen....I'm curious what the benchmark tests are when this phone comes out, seems like this would be in the same league as the HTC Wildfire S.
Both have decent custom UI, both are meant for the small factor appeal, less likely to be prone to any form of lag and hopefully both(Wildfire S and mini) are priced for the budget market.
Hence, appeal mainly to students like me, but seeing that I'm not the typical teenage student, I'll stick with my HTC Desire Z, yes I'll admit after a month's of constant usage I have noticed some lag.
I guess I'll spend the beginning of my summer doing some "maintenance" of some kind on it.
