GREAT news but as much as I love Nokia, this article points out their currently not even producing the 6. Going to start. That's a poor sales strategy and does not show seriousness for global markets. Hope that changes.

HMD is too late to the game. Phones are released 6 months after announcement. Their competitors would have released phones at the same price points but with better hardware during this lag period.

I have always bought budget phones and will in the future to. If you replace the phone in every two years or one year anyways. I buy budget phones cause if I lose them I am not happy but I don't feel so sad to. Same for breaking it. Brand comes in the deal when your looking flagship devices.

My next phone will be Samsung A3 2017 cause it smaller then my last Nokia Lumia 830 and lighter to. As Nokia don't care to make small phones and there are not a lot of them around my options are limited. And well I need new phone now and not want to wait a year till they come to my country. And well size wise of the Nokia 3 I would go with Huawei P8 Lite 2017 that is pretty much same size of the Nokia 3 but a lot better specs.

Rayne , 10 Jul 2017I agree that build quality is important nobody wants their ... morethen go buy redmi phones, and start crying after 3 months since their battery life drops & phone starts hanging occasionally thanks to miui & even wait for years to get the next android update(maybe your phone won't get it.) & deal with all those miui bugs.

those buying Nokia 6 knows their phone is not gonna lag for years, thanks to stock android & Nokia's optimizations & consistent updates.
SD 430 will surely find it tough to do heavy tasks but it it is almost fast & completely lag-proof in day to day usage

For me i choose a phone for 2years(at-least 1 year) not for 3months.

Rayne , 10 Jul 2017I agree that build quality is important nobody wants their ... moreFor geek that is. For common users, that won't even close. Most people will only know that These device has an octa cores processor with 32/64 GB storages, and a good enough camera. And probably 3/4 GB ram (hey, some people doesn't even care about ram). Why? Look at Samsung devices. They still sells like a hot cakes because those minimum requirement already meet (sure, their sales was decreased in term of marketshare, but the actual number of device is still bigger than any brand).

The Nokia 6 should have come with snapdragon 625 to really make an impact or at least give buyers a pleasant experience with the phone for long time. The snapdragon 430 is just not up to the task.gaming is actually OK on the snapdragon 430 but in terms of speed and efficiency it's just not worth it.

Well Nokia 3 isn't a lag to hell either .. its OK for normal usage... Its direct competitor Samsung J2/3 models perform more or less the same... maybe slightly worse due to touchwiz.. and j series sells a tonnnnnn...

Rest all other brands doesn't matter in this price range. in offline market. because they do not have good after sale service , reliability nor are they big brand names ... 90% people don't care about specs as long as it is OK for browsing whatsapp cam fb ... they want reliability , after sale service and brand value ... this is why Samsung J2/j3 are top selling models

And add the nokia's USP of durable and strong build quality .. you have a winner.. as an alternative to Samsung ... kudos to hmd for getting this right

and India is one of the main Nokia country ... I would say even to this day the brand value it holds may even be higher than Samsung at least for people older than 25 years..

I hope next time HMD gets camera right though ..
