AnonD-669542, 12 Jul 2017Those top and bottom bezels are perfect. the glass is for radio waves, does not transmit properly through the metal. All glass could work like with the galaxy s8, but then its more fragile. The bezels I think are just perfect to have the best screen to phone ratio without sacrificing an area to be able to hold the phone while not accidentally triggering the screen and being able to keep stereo front facing speakers. (speaking of the pixel 2 XL) so I hope its just as they show here. But agree the bezels can be less on the renders for the Pixel 2 (non XL).

Pixel 1 made by HTC,now Pixel 2 will be made by LG,what's next?Who will make Pixel 3 next year?Not Sam or Sony,I recon..Maybe they should hire Xiaomi,latest hardware,best software and looks something like Mix..how about that?

Looks stunning. Cant wait to see the HTC smaller Pixel 2.
LG and Google are using HTC squeeze technology. I can see practicalities in that function. The back is more refined. As light texture it with a matt finish would top it off nicely.

I've got the Bose QuietComfort 35 Wireless Headphones, they connect first time - everytime, there is no inference and the sound quality is amazing! Plus they only need to be re-charged once a week, after a weeks full use!

Bluetooth headsets need to be charged, are heavier, less durable, have inferior sound quality, are more expensive, ect. - tradeoffs that are waaaaay too big to justify the supposed "convenience."

could not agree more as a long term nexus 6 user hoping for a proper replacement I will have to jump ship to Sony xa1 ultra and suffer stupid size battery.these companies seem to have no idea what specs a proper giant phone should have.

The squeeze feature is easy, natural, and easier to find. You just squeeze. If their is a button, you have to locate the button and then press.
Don't knock it until you try it. I use my squeeze function daily.

With 2:1 aspect ratio in mind, its width will be pretty much same as normal 5.5" model, so it's not going to be unwieldy.
The biggest problem will be… it's manufactured by LG :-(
I think there's no hope in terms of battery life.

The front is LG G6 which is my favourite front design and the back is my iPhone 7 with flat cam and a piece of glass instead of those lines which looks way more original than those Chinese copies. AND it has not these too rounded corners at top and bottom which I think are useless cause it makes the phone more slippery and takes away space where you could have, for example, bring the motherboard down a little bit to use a tad bigger battery. If I was in store to design a phone, it would look like this (except for fingerprint which would be in display or on side, and the back would be completely glass but that is made to make it look like a pixel cause that's now their signature design)
TL;DR: looks like a combo of the best phone designs available, great job Google and LG

Tbh, this phone is ugly. I'm a Samsung fanboy but I'm not saying Samsung is the most innovative company yet because of that but it's the truth. iPhone 7 is iconic but not innovative neither does it have a great design. Almost every phone maker now copies their cheaply thought camera configuration but they don't have enough thinking power to create the S8's. When you hold a Samsung flagship, you don't need an apple logo to identify the year or model.
