rizki1, 12 Jul 2017very very sad news :'( no more nokia lumia and windows phone..Lumias over at 920/1020 models. Other crap were bad in quality, glitchy, poor assembled and overpriced. After 8.1 update Windows Phone became too laggy and slow to use it. Native MS services as OneDrive are slow and corrupting data. Especially contacts. Don't think it's bad WP will disappear at all like horrible dream. So for me (as former 3,5 year WM/WP user) that's good news. Go to hell, MS.

Windows platform was really great to me. The more the updates and upgrades, the more it could have been fulfilling the needs. I'm now actually pushed to android or ios but I am going to miss this great platform. Will still look for this platform if there would be a future again

The same OS that took Nokia out of the businees. Now they have to start from scratch with android.

i like the os, different people different taste, all those who bought and leave windows phone/mobile, the reason they bought it is because they like it, and the reason they leave it is because the lack of apps. not because of uts limitation or because of its design, but because the lack of apps, official apps is different from the 3rd party. and the lack of popular mobile games also.

Bye Bye Microsoft thanks any way for trying to enter a market with no strategic or marketing planning just pushing a device shallow not enter active and some metro silly shape solid device like a rock.

Never learned from I phone or Android why are they soo much an eye catching or demanding

Thanks for Killing Nokia and Meego which was a promising OS

Love it.... the demise of windows os. Everything was no good and microsoft should have come out guns blazing but well they didnt.

Fyi fanbois dont try and justify your love for an os thats failing.... its just proven that the end is near.

Why do you think companies want to put out their mobile OS?
                  1. to sell their services
                  2. to collect data

I think Microsoft is winning the game here with both mobile OS's Android and IOS, having their services and apps on all these platforms. But definitely Google is the boss when it comes to collecting user data.

I really do hope MS will pull itself together because having market with only ios and android is a really, really terrible idea... there is also jolla / sailfish but it's UI is, uhm, 'difficult' (let's hope they improve and drop 'you have swipe everything' attitude)

I remember with nostalgy the 2 Lumia smartphones with Windows OS that I have, one with Windows 7 mobile and the other with Windows 8 mobile.
I think that if Microsoft hadn't been so unwilling to change things and if they learnt how to adapt to the new market, they would have been in a much better position in the mobile industry.
Some good things come out of this, Microsoft has been concentrating more to other areas of the industry, were they are living everybody else in the dust, including Apple.

The main issue Windows Phone struggled with is that people hated the limitations of the OS and it's tile user interface. These are the roots of the death of Windows Phone.

A little disingenuous, since the W10M upgrade gives another two years support to a great number of 8.1 users. See my http://allaboutwindowsphone.com/news/item/22314_Windows_Phone_81_and_End_of_Su.php for analysis.

But yes, with no new hardware, the scene isn't exciting!

Also worth noting that Windows 10 Mobile only goes away when it's integrated into Windows 10 on ARM, the next gen of Microsoft's mobile ambitions. Though whether that LOOKS like a current phone is debatable - probably more an ultra-portable folding phablet/tablet hybrid.
