Real technology has slowed too, just Cpu and Gpu 10% enhanced, other nitbits here there, Price now exceeding thousand bucks, all tent amounts to Sales Decline, just 1+5 almost same specs at 480$ Amazing, that's why too, sales falling substantially.

Curve screens may look futuristic but it is totally impractical and unnecessary to use and a lot of people also agree with that. Secondly, I don't care about the lack of headphone jack at all, I support the removal of headphone jack as I want the world to move on to full wireless. At last, don't assume that I am going to buy the iPhone 8 and no touch ID for iPhone 8 is just a rumor and it seems unlikely to happen (we will never know).

The same as what I said to S8. So, definitely you can't say the note 5 is 100% better than the G6 in term of performance.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2017I used to think this, but not anymore after my recent use o... moreI am quite aware of Exynos variant and the Exynos version is actually nearly similar speed as the snapdragon version for the S8 (S7 is a huge difference). The reason why S8 is faster than LG G6 regardless of the processor is because LG G6 use SD821. Any phone with SD835 can easily beat S8's performance regardless of the processor whether it is Exynos or snapdragon. Also, let me tell you, LG G6 actually has better multitasking than the S8, where it can store a lot more apps in the background without reloading them than S8 (just that LG G6 opens apps slower than S8 because of SD821).
For point number 5, I am not complaining about the size of screen (big screen). I am saying that Samsung focus too much on the design and the quality of screen, not less focus on the software. Note that I actually prefer phones with bigger screen, not for watching video/movies, but for other reasons.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2017Reasons why I won't consider Samsung in my buy list of phon... moreI used to think this, but not anymore after my recent use of the Note 5. I agree with point 2 & 3 though.
1. Performance with Exynos CPU seems to be better than the Snapdragon counter part. So I make sure to get the Exynos international version.
I had a Note 5 and LG G6 together, and the two years old Note 5 w/ Exynos 7 felt better than the LG G6.
4. Bloatwares are inevitable with Samsung and LG, and you have to spend time tweaking out of the box. But I think Samsung made improvement with Android 7 and it's not laggy, I don't think LG done enough to improve their software and out of the box the G6 felt more laggy than my Note 5. Fortunately with both brands, you can use Package Disabler app to disable bloatwares.
5. Big screen and high resolution is the main selling point of phones today. I don't care what brand you buy Apple or Pixel make big phones too. Even LG realize the only way they can sell a phone is not to make something different, but make the same thing as everyone else. You don't have too many choices for something "different", as in really different. I don't think Sony quality and features are good enough for their imported price. I think Lenovo is doing an okay job with the Moto, but they are greedy and purposefully gimp phones to sell different phones with different specs, instead of concentrating on a few excellent phones.
