This should be a helium (SD652 Mi Max), which is already in the market, running a custom kernel that is broadcasting the wrong board name. There is really nothing new here, absolutely nothing to see: the model name, the processor ID and the processor description all point the same way, to a Xiaomi device codenamed helium running the SD652 which is an octa-core Arm Qualcomm SOC at 1.4GHz for the small cluster. Xiaomi has a device codenamed helium running the SD652, which is commercialy known as Mi Max. I just can't believe the tech media is still keeping this "fake news" for so long.

Ok so... MSM8952 is definitely Snapdragon 617, but the scores are much closer to a Snapdragon 652, so did Xiaomi faked the part number or something?
Edit: So it turns out that a bunch of Chinese phones with MSM8952 board also reached sub-5000 scores, so what the hell is happening here? Why would they want to fake their processor names?

No way a single A53 core can reach almost 1500 score
No way this is SD617

Clock Speed don't match up but it looks like the SD 660 with the score or at least the SD630 but that would be too weak.

ARM implementer 65 architecture 8 variant 0 part 3336 is the SD652. And helium is the codename for the SD652 Mi Max (the SD650 variant is hydrogen, which sounds quite natural). Nothing new here.

Judging by the scores alone, it has a SD653, not a SD617. The power-saving cores in the SD653 tick at 1.40 GHz.

Those scores don't look like SD617. I have a SD615 device and it got single core of 600 and multi core not above 2500.
