Nexus 6P and 5X don't support this new Android O feature

14 July 2017
The feature in question is aptX Bluetooth streaming. Google says only newer devices support it.

And Nexus also support Apple's AAC.

Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z5 series share the same hardware specifications as the Nexus 6P, which means those 4 devices might be migrated even to Android O, making them the longest ever supported Android phones - 3 major OS upgrades from Lollipop to Marshmallow to Nougat to O...

No worry, they will still have LDAC codec support, which is as good as aptx HD.(if you have Sony headphones, speakers )

It's a hardware limitation of the built-in bluetooth radio in the SoC.

I am confused, does Android really not support Apt X? This pretty sad Apt X has been around for years. Nokia Lumia series have been supporting this for many years. I think it was the Denim Lumia update... What kind of messed up Bluetooth chip is the Nexus 5X and 6P using that it cannot support Apt X with an update?

                                But let me ask this:
For the straight 4 year support, did the iPhone 4 and 4s ever got the feature that people asked, such as:
                                -Manual Camera settings
                                -File Manager
                                -Capture RAW photos
-Download apps and musics from the browser and be installed into the device
                                -Do split screen multitasking
And I can still ask for more.

See, for the consecutive 4 years, not even once did the 4 and 4s ever beat their Android counterparts in regards to features and functions.
We can say that Androids are smarter than iOS, heck even my 2014 budget device does much more things than an iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

What about other devices like current flagship and last year flagship will they support it?
