Wait on the Nokia 9 with Snapdragon 835. Lower-end SoC doesn't age as well as flagships. The lag and stutter will eventually come sooner with a weaker chip.

The only downside here for me are the cpu and ram. It could have been better imo. Huawei GR3 2017 have better specs and more cheaper in our country. But still I am waiting for the full review. They don't need to go after samsung, they already made a name. They should focus on what best they can offer.

In my opinion smartphones today look very similar.
The small bezels of the S8, make it look a bit more modern, but mostly it looks the same as the rest.
The material and finnish of the back, doesn't really set any phone apart.
They are all slabs.
There are various cases for a bit more personalization.
But there are limits to what can be done with a big screen touch centric device.

I guess their is only so much you can do to present the slab touch design.
On the 8 or above what about
Accents
Textured back
Indication light ; old Nokia's sometimes had side blue indicators, or under a button pulse. Just thinking of ideas that make nice aesthetic differences with the sturdy build and chip sets.
