Do not pay $2.99 for Cortex Camera. I have just downloaded the app in my iPhone 7+ and spend 20 minutes changing configurations to get best photo. None of the photos whether it is 10 stacked or 99 stacked all came out worse than if you simply turn on HDR on your stock Photo app. I am trying to get a refund right now.

Anonanoymoususes, 17 Jul 2017who need that kind of article when android os already have ... moreManual cameras on Android are really bad and don't work that well. I used Android for 9 years and for each phone that I have used there were issues in manual cameras, except for LG's really good stock camera app. The ok ones are Snap Camera and ProShot.

I just got an iPhone 7 and in iOS, the stock camera app is not good, images are terrible, BUT when using third party manual cameras (and there are so many! and all are better than Android's), they work so well and smooth it's like they were designed by Apple.

AnonD-551482, 17 Jul 2017I wounder why apples stock camera app has not got all these... moreI have the iPhone 7 and the image quality is garbage in the stock camera app. Everytime I preview a pic that I have taken and zoom in to between 70 and 100% I want to change my phone to the Pixel lol (I had the Pixel and sold it in favor of iOS, to try it out).
Low light is atrocious with iPhone 7, even day light is not that good.
So, what I do is I shoot with Lightroom, DNG/raw, and edit in lightroom. Results are pretty good and much better!

There's also Cortex camera that stacks images like Pixel does, which I want to get once it goes on sale.

You should include Cortex camera as well, which does what the Pixel does, stacks images for a really nice image quality.

              Just wondering though.
in the first app there is in marketing image that tells us about the unique features like RAW.

is that even something that is allowed?
Unique in my eyes is something that nobody else is doing but to my knowledge there are tons of others having that feature.

              Just wondering.

I thought it was andy's essential lol thought they made apps for ios and gsmarena do one for android too

I wounder why apples stock camera app has not got all these camera controls?? iPhone 7 is a really good camera phone... and the iPhone 8 will be even better.

AnonD-685164, 17 Jul 2017is there an srticle for photography app on android?Well, snapseed isn't a iOS only app, although it was on iOS first. But if the other apps in this " Essential Photography Apps for the iPhone " are mainly just filters + editor apps. Then it wasn't that essential, honestly speaking.

Not that I like to ads for them, but where's Potshot, Manual Camera and Perfectly Clear, even Camera360 does a very great job these days. These 3 camera apps plus snapseed ( or that Prisma ) seems more essential ( both Android and iOS).
