Check the other images here: https://www.amazon.com/Zeiss-Biogon-Leica-Rangefinder-Cameras/dp/B000MPNJBK . I don't think Nokia will go to f/2.8 unless it's a 2x telephoto lens. For primary normal focal length camera, they will try to stick around f/1.7 (just like all other flagships and flagship-killers) if they want to stay in the competition.

Its one of the few high end flagships that did not rely at all on Sony technology for their high end cameras which also used Carl Zeiss lense which was also not normal. Its what made nokia Lumia phones hipster and edgy because it also used a different operating system.

Sony ofc now has purchased the Toshiba sensor division so basically its Sony's Tech now. but its becoming increasingly less likely this camera will be all that amazing or this phone at all will stand out now thats its in the android arena which is a over saturated market.

and even Toshiba couldn't really compete with Sony sensors sony seems to be at the fore front of sensor technology. only thing superior to Sony is the lense because its Carl Zeiss but sony is second with the G lens.

Nothing standout about Nokia anymore now that it has no windows.

If that's the case, then we might as well call it a day for Nokia's camera quality. HTC U11 has a relatively large 1/2.55" sensor behind a very bright f1.7 lens. At f2.8, the zeiss lens is about 1.5 stops darker. To compensate for that, in order to at the very least match the quality of HTC U11, they must use a sensor, that is around 1/1.7". Based on devices renders - there is no room for a sensor of that size, so unless they are planning on using some kind of a dual-frame de-noise algorithm, they will be the worst on the market in camera image quality.

AnonD-206357, 18 Jul 2017nokia is trying to come back. And it is known for its camer... moreIt remains to be seen. Nokia is also known for using not-so-great camera modules. At rumored dual 13mp this sounds like a typical old Sony 1/3" module, like the one used in LG V20.
The most powerful camera phone on the market today, is the HTC U11, using the 12.2mp Sony IMX362 module, which is miles ahead of it's immediate competition (thanks to HTC properly tweaking the firmware). The sensor is 1/2.55"
Now, based on designs, HMD is not using the Lumia 1020 sized module(1/1.5"), and on top of that it seems highly improbable that they're even using a Lumia 950 sized module (1/2.4"), this is based of the renders around the camera area - there's no camera bulge that would be able to house such a large sensor. On top of that, PureView algorithm is very good with a high resolution sensor, and at 13mp, it's not that either.
While i'm quietly hoping for Nokia to use a great camera module in their phone - based on specs, it seems to be the likes of Sony IMX298, which is a tiny 1/3" sensor.

Both being miles ahead of anything out there in the market, with the latter completely decimating any competition in both Photo and Video quality.

Now they are back with Android and mark my words - in 2018 they will oust Samsung from the smartphone throne

I totally understand what you guys are saying but you have to realize the moment nokia steps in the android segment it becomes extremely competitive and you guys are just attached to the brand name.

Nokia lumia phones were also much better designed than this phone. Im not really impressed by the design and it doesnt seem to offer anything truly unique.
