Do give some more info on that 2007 samsung dual cam cellphone you are talking about. I will blame on all these websites reporting with misleading info about samsung c10 being the company's first dual cam phone.

first cellphone with dual camera was sold by Samsung 2 month before first iphone even came out ( 2007 ) so your 2016 crap is a joke.
The first smartphone with dual camera was the HTC evo 3d released in 2011..

techguy, 18 Jul 2017Apple is late 2013 tech LMAOFor calling yourself techguy, you sure don't know much about smartphone technology history. Amoled screens were used way back by nokia in their symbian smartphones. Nokia also used wireless charging in 2012's lumia 920. Dual camera was first seen in a mainstream oem in 2015 as a dual selfie cam, and the first primary dual cams smartphones were released in 2016, same year as iphone 7 plus. None of those tech is 2013.

I feel like the iPhone 6S/6S+ is a phenomenal phone, and the iPhone 7 isn't much of an upgrade. The iPhone 7S/8 so far doesn't seem like a big upgrade either.
I think people should just hold onto their 6S for another year and wait for the 8/8S, when the actual successor/supercycle kicks in. Remember Apple's upgrade cycle?
Base cycle = new design
" S " cycle = refined, upgrades throughout
...the S-cycle has always been the less-flashier but actually the better cycle.
Remember all the iPhone 3G people; with slow, overheating phones, ultra limited OS, rubbish camera and barely any battery life.
For its day, in contrast, the iPhone 3GS was fast, warm, limited OS, with usable camera and 1 day battery life.
Then the iPhone 4 came out and all the technological improvements were wasted to drive that cutting-edge Retina display. App support for the resolution even was lacking.
Fast-forward to the iPhone 4S, and we saw a dramatic improvement to the camera, battery life, speed, and better OS support.... and all the Apps supported the Retina display, there was no need for frustrating waits.
Then the iPhone 5, again, small upgrade over the 4S but with a new design, port and aspect ratio. Had early adopters a bit frustrated. Then the 5S arrived and now users actually had Apps that were natively supported rather than letterboxing. Lightning port became more ubiquitous. Not to mention TouchID and ApplePay. Improvements to performance, radios, cameras, battery life came. Also better OS support due to the 64-bit processor.
The 5C and SE were side-experiments. The iPhone 6 made some improvements, and despite being Apple's best seller, it only achieved so by being Apple's first Medium and Large sized phones. There was still some apps awaiting optimisations. The 6S owners had refined support for the new sizes/resolution, and improvements to the camera and speed. This was the first 3D Touch iPhone, so being an early adopter was frustrating, but having the hardware built-in meant that it won't be made obsolete as easily as the 6.
The iPhone 7 bought no real improvements besides IP67/IP68 ingress protection. However, it killed off the headset jack just to capitalise on their accessory market and Beats acquisition. I feel like compromises may be made with this year's iPhone... so another year might be best to hold off.
*I'm an Android phone user by the way, I got no beef with Apple
