Can't believe you guys are still pushing the finger print in the screen narrative. No one ever took that seriously. It's gimmicky and impractical. Apple even called you guys out for it and stated that they had never considered doing that at all.

What is wrong with you people if you want bigger screen and bigger phones that doesnt mean that all earth population want the same thing , all of us are different, no one is the same. Some people want bigger phones , some one want smaller , the problem is that in these day people who want smaller phones doesn t have any option from Samsung high end series.

jimm, 24 Jul 2017What is the point in having note series and s-series when b... moreThe Note Series has the S-pen, which eats some of the space available for the battery, and requires an expensive digitizer built into the screen, so a Note is really only a good deal if you (like me) need the pen. If not, a S series phone gives you more battery for less money, so I'd say they cater for different needs.
I rather wonder what's the point with the next to identical screen sizes in the S series.

What is the point in having note series and s-series when bouth will be the same ? It is just like when you go to a restaurant and you don t have the option to choose .

When a compact version ? (with the same specs ) .
I personaly buy in the past Samsung s-series because of screen quality ( super amoled and resolution is the best ) i hade it , now i use s6 edge ( i like the edge desing ) . I waited to see the next generation s7 was good , but i like the edge design so i stay with s6 edge , but s7 edge was the biggest fail for me , i can t buy a phone that big , and i waited for s8 and when i saw it i was upset with what is happing to Samsung . Not all of us want big scren, i want a decent size phone to speak at it with all high end specs . It is just so much to ask ?

This is sad , Samsung now make phones only for people who whant bigger screen . What is the point , not long ago they did not make s mini series for people who want smaller phones, i was ok at least we have s-series medium decent size . But after the s7 edge and s8 it is just enough , Samsung only want to make big phones, some of us hate that phone and will never buy even if some one pay us a phone big as s7 edge or s8 . Some people like big size , they allready had note series .
Why not make a phone like a3 2017 size with better specs ( the same specs at s8) it could be even more expensive than s8 , or at least s7 size .
What is the point in havving s-series and note series when they were all that big .
At least make a compact version with the same specs ( and screen resolution , but not size)

this is good ... as long as it's > 6 inch display, it's good for I am a multimedia person and uses my phone to watch video and more so a small screen phone (which many F***ing people want what with all those one handed rubbish mambo jumbo) is utter useless for me.
To each it's own, so don't put your preference first and criticize sammy for going the bigger display route cause there are people who likes and benefit from it.

Not all of us eat fast food and have 100 kg , some of us are smaller and want smaller thinks.
S8 is extreme , i don t understant why they turn s-series into note series . Big people with big hands allready have note series why take our decent normal size s-series and turn into gingatic note-like . First of all is a friking phone , how can you speak at a s8 or s7 edge
