Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for Android gets a redesign

18 July 2017
This apparently now makes the app "full Android-native", whatever that means.

and frankly, icons are ~the worst~
google is the leader in using generic looking icons for specific tasks and expecting us to auto-recognize it, get used to it and learn it.
idiots.

I just got an iPhone 7 (used Android for 9 years with over 10 phones) and lightroom in iOS has a full manual camera with DNG/raw (really well done and powerful features) and then you edit the RAW file in there. It just got an update yesterday in iOS as well and they added noise reduction (many settings) and sharpening, just like in Camera raw or desktop lightroom.
Does lightroom have a manual camera in Android?

AnonD-685641, 19 Jul 2017No, their HDR mode is only for Apple, Samsung and Pixel pho... moreWell, all these phones have different cameras and ISPs. Thus adobe needs to optimize the mode differently for each. They started with the most popular (because it is better for business), and they are slowly making their way towards the less popular brands.

And it is a great app anyway. I always use it to color correct the photos I take with my redmi note 3 pro. So far it has never let me down.

CM3, 19 Jul 2017Isn't their HDR mode only for devices with raw capture? No, their HDR mode is only for Apple, Samsung and Pixel phones. Sony, HTC, OnePlus, Huawei, LG and Motorola users are out of luck so far.

Same chipsets, similar cameras, RAW capture etc all featured on these phones. But Adobe only seems to want to work with only the most popular manufacturers.

Plenty of Snapdragon 820/821/835 devices still not supported for HDR mode in this.

Adobe only seems to want to support Apple and Samsung.

                  Useless.

                    Oh, much better.
