Samsung says it will recover 157 tons of gold, silver, cobalt, and copper through Note7 recycling

                Good move Samsung. Great idea to recycle parts rather than trying to flog it to death

                  amazing. they'd rather recycle the used Note7s than reselling them.

                    why would they do that?. samsung can simply sell those by fitting those small battery. I believe note 7 is better than note 8.

                              I think selling users' old Note 7 phones for further cheap, might've been a better idea.

                              They can just flash the software, check diagnostics and sell them, what's the issue? Why this unnecessary meltdown?

                                You can try a diy solution. Rry buying the note 7 fe battery and replace it yourself. Do a calibration afterwards.
