Why you have to buy mi5x? check out Redmi pro...its amoled display, dual camera, sd625, 4000 mah battery and 200$...basically its Redmi pro refresh model....or you can buy note 4x for 120-40$ (only camera is not dual)

Perhaps they will accent on the dual rear camera, which will give it some advantage over Mi5. Most of the people do not care about the processor if it capable to suit their needs.
And the other thing is that people prefer metal body over glass or ceramics.
For me it is OK and for sure it will sell good. Me personally would chose the original Mi5, and may be in few months I will replace my Mi4c with Mi5.

Lenovo releasing Moto g5s plus at same price range with dual camera and SD 626. Also in India, Xiaomi will release this device in January so hardware prices will decrease and increased profits.

I don't understand this trend of placing the camera in the corner. It is asking to be blocked by your fingers when you are taking photos. Please stop following Apple and Sony in this non-ergonomic design.

Okay, from the back they are slightly similar to the all-in-one design (iPhone, OP5, Oppo,etc.) and Xiaomi shouldn't enter this list of ridiculous copycat sort of trends. But after having said/ clarified that, let's say that overall it's not bad. Plus, the introduction of the new UI MIUI 9.
