OP5 is just an overpriced device at its finest.
Sure it has better processor and camera, but that's pretty much it, and neither of the two is worth paying another $100, given the battery juice was further dropped down by 100mAh.

Honor 9 has a lot to offer for $400, which makes it obliterate the OP5.
You get superior still photographic capability (despite the better hardware of the OP5), and Huawei is a far more reliable brand and is available and known worldwide.
I haven't even seen any OnePlus devices here in Philippines, but a lot of Huawei ads are present almost in every public places.

Some people just have no taste at all and compensate it with some tech inside of their phones. Look at bad copy of the year - OP5. Greatest specs on paper but ugly and bad supported. And look at hype around this overpriced usual chinaphone!

I'm more worried about the lack of OIS. I currently have a Xperia Z5, which also lacks OIS but has an incredible EIS instead.

AnonD-510098, 19 Jul 2017The real flagship killer of 2017Haha well, in a way yes it could be. But in general it's quite debatable, and even more, because until the end of December (the ending of 2017) there is still some more path to go through. In other words, we don't know exactly with which devices, etc., we'll end up.

For me the lack of buttons and having to use the home button to go back is a bit of a "no no". But I don't really trust Honor 9s glass completely either, and it's a bit silly to go for a design that you'll cover up with a case to keep it from breaking

Although okay its availability currently it's quite limited, but let's say that overall at least now it is already slightly better.

Also, it depends on how practical is it in true life.
I don't know how an edge screen or glass back could increase someone's confidence, but a metal device gives the user the feedback of a premium high end device with no worries of its durability.

Bebe Rexha, 19 Jul 2017P10 of course. Functionality over looks any day. Both - hardware and design - has meaning. You use phone tens time per day and if you see ugly hardware beast - possibly it will not satisfy you as a thing. And vice versa - alow and glitchy beauty disturbs a lot.

More RAM makes up for a real "Premium" device?
By that sense, the XZs is supposed to be the Premium version of the XZ since it has more RAM, too

I can currently get the Huawei P10 for 400 euros through my carrier.
Should I go for the P10 which has OIS or wait for Honor 9 that lacks the OIS but a lot nicer design?
