KM3, 24 Jul 2017Can you post a link of the service you are talking about I think it violates the 4th posting rule to post such links. Also, if I give you a link to, say, CanadIPTV (made-up name) and that you live in the US, it won't be relevant.

You can either Google IPTV, [Country/city/county] IPTV or go to some tech shop that's not a big chain like Bestbuy. That's where we've got a subscription. It also works with an IPTV client for Smart TVs.

?, 22 Jul 2017are these options legal?Yes. Those are usually using Rokus or MAG254 devices, and you subscribe via a retailer. This threat is so serious major TV providers began thinking about these alternatives, like Bell AltTV. I use one of those "alternative "providers since a while and they're quite awesome for the price. Off course forget about 4K content for now, even if that content is still rare besides movies. The best part besides the HUGE free VOD content is TimeShift

TimeShift is a feature that lets you rewind and fast forward. But here's the trick. You can both record on a HDD (SSD if you are fancy) and use their online servers. They usually have the past 3 days recorded on their servers. No DRM involved, and you can download their online data on an external storage anytime you want. That only works on some channels following agreements, but most are covered by that.

And you also get overseas channels too! Also in HD. That's pretty much why I've unsubscribed from Bell Fibe. Their overseas prices are as high as 50$ for two channels, monthly.

If you want more info, feel free to ask. But remember, it is legal.

I don't like YouTube TV. Get an IPTV subscription. If you choose wisely, you'll get 99% of all the US and Europe channels, with online TimeShift, and tons of series and movies on VOD. All in HD. For about 40CAD a month (those are yearly subscriptions though, but you can get decent ones for as low as 100CAD, better at 300 and so on)

Bit pricey, but a great idea and convenient. I can see a lot of people enjoying it. Better take a back up battery charger... lol. Enjoy.

So, well done to YouTube (Google) for the job already done. But eventually progressively they should increase even much, much more its availability.
