I am not an apple buyer but i must say it looks beautiful. Ironically the prior Nokia 9 renders (not the 8) looks similar to this. Well done apple

Let me quickly explain what an iPhone is in the smartphone world as of right now, using an analogy:
Everyone knows McDonald's is more popular than Burger King, right? Because all their stuff "tastes better" or whatever other reasons there are.
You walk into a McDonald's as it is the most popular one (this describes iPhones) and you see a burger with:
- Bread
- Beef
- Lettuce, Pickles, Tomatoes (vegetables...)
- Sauce
This burger costs $8.99
You walk into the Burger King across the street next, slightly pessimistic as it isn't as popular as McDonald's (this describes Android Flagships) and you see a burger with:
- Brioche Bread
- Beef
- Lettuce, Pickles, Tomatoes (vegetables...)
- Cheese
- 3 different sauces (of your choosing)
- Bacon
- Pulled Pork
- Sesame Seeds
This burger costs $4.99
The McDonald's was full and the line was overflowing out the doors; there was one shabby looking man in Burger King and no queue.
Buying an iPhone is just like going over to the McDonald's, queuing for 10 minutes and wasting $4 by buying that burger.

So notifications in the function area indicating a pull up menu and no more pull up menu, minimising the amount you need to reach up to the top of the tall display.
Sensible idea as it will be trickier to reach than the top of the 7/6s/6 display.

I have no idea why people even give ... moreNot sure about all the hate from the lack of a 3.5mm jack. I haven't used wired headphones for my phone in 3-4 years.
If anything, they should include an adapter to split the lightning port into two, so those who DO want to listen with wired headphones can do so while charging.

If that's the final design then its excellent. Too shame that it will still run iOS, which won't have a system wide back option and the damn iOS lags too. But good for Apple and their users I suppose.

Are you being sarcastic, or is this a real poor excuse for excessive bezels in 2017?
"The 5.8-inch OLED screen's bezels will be around 4mm on all sides, to make the iPhone 8 less prone to accidental input from the palm in which it's held than Samsung's latest flagships."
The OS could just keep the outer part of the screen as display only with no touch action....
