Hmm, well, if Lenovo wants to compete directly (head-to-head) with Xiaomi in India, they must do some sort of an effort. Considering that Xiaomi is quite about to launch the Redmi Note 5, so again, if Lenovo wants to beat Xiaomi or so, the K7 Note must include a quite premium mid-range SoC. So basically it have to be at minimum the SD625, if not even the SD630 or SD660. But yes, it will depend on its price, and eventually on what Xiaomi will offer with the Note 5 (maybe for a sort of an upgrade to compete).

Gokai Pink, 25 Jul 2017After reading the title... like oh my gosh Lenovo will lunc... moreYeah, I know you have a K5 Note, and I know how much you love it, and I know that on the one side, you hate iPhones, but on the other you say that you will probably buy the iPhone 8. I would say: try it. Save some money and buy the iPhone 8, you won't regret it. You don't have as much customization but if you give in, you will notice that you don't need it and that iOS has many other features which are way more useful. And of course you never have to worry that your phone doesn't get updates anymore and you never have to worry about security.

mid range is mid range and will stay mid range forever. Mid range will never reach or even come close to flagships. Most of the mid range phones still have major disadvantages in built quality, materials, speed and display compared to high end phones from 2012.
