Got my UK update today via Kies (my phone firmeware is unbranded and was previously on 2.2.1 XXJPY). Can't really review Gingerbread properly yet though as I have only had it installed a few hours.
The new non-carrier firmware I have received is XXJVO and it is also available on samfirmware.com to flash via Odin (at your own risk of course).

Here's to hoping Sammy plays nice and gives the Tab Ice Cream Sandwich... If they do, my loyalty to Nokia would shift completely. Convergence OS for phones and tablets for the phablet!
Alas, considering their business model, i do not think it is likely...

live in UK, just plugged phone into Kies, and firmware update available now. Using crappy work wifi tho ;), keeps failing, will do later on

i live in Saudi Arabia and i own Galaxy Tab 2.2 and when i first got it there was no Market i had to take it to shop to install it for me if i update to 2.3 will i lose the market and if i did how can i got it back, you see without the market the device is dead for me
