Features aren't as important as smooth user interface without lag. Work hard for it.

Multi media features?? Why not add an mm or two of thickness for a bigger battery? Why make a phablet thin as paper? Is there any chance anybody from Samsung will ever pay heed to the thousands if not ten thousands of requests from the users for a BIGGER BATTERY? Is it so hard? Is it technologically challenging to make the phone slightly thicker and put more battery in it??????????????? Why doesn't Samsung get it? The fingerprint reader is one deaf ear given to us and now the battery? Why don't more people complain???

Note7 had HDR content-capable display. Stereo speakers? Well, I am a bluetooth earphones type of user - I don't even see the fuss of tiny speakers in stereo anyway.

Free wireless earphones in the box? Sure, a next generation IconX with at least 6 hours of audio streaming would be nice.

            Maybe something with AR?

"Effectively making it the best phone for multimedia consumption" funny how you called it out without even knowing what those features were. Samsung isn't the only manufacturer in the world, you know...

ResolvePi, 29 Jul 2017Cool. Cannot w8t! (Get it?) Hope it's as tough as my Not... moreAny phone would survive such meager drops... Note5 is pretty brittle from my experience.

                      Looking forward to this.
I suspect it's sort of like a 10D Fire Experience, where you can smell the phone literally on fire :)

ResolvePi, 29 Jul 2017Cool. Cannot w8t! (Get it?) Hope it's as tough as my Not... moreYou thanked the patient for being saved by the doctor and not the doctor itself. Makes sense.

                          AnonD-632062, 29 Jul 2017Awesome. The Note8 just can't come soon enough.Ohh, needless to say.

Ohh, that's absolutely an excellent news. Obviously, the more richer multimedia functionalities the much better. 100% definitely welcome in advance.

Hope it's as tough as my Note5. I rarely drop my phones, but in last few weeks dropped my Note5 (that is in a nice but intentionally thin Spigen case) twice. One time it landed on a corner onto concrete, the case took the impact, the plastic corner broke off, but phone untouched. Second time, this morning, phone fell 4 feet face down onto tiled kitchen floor. Rim of Spigen case protected it, so no crack or any other damage.

Am impressed the Note5 survived the shock either way.
