The theoretical speeds are Practically Useless.
What is important and useful in the real-world is if this modem can find itself in non-Samsung phones. Perhaps in midrange devices with 14nm Quad/Octa-core A53 chips found on other devices from LG, HTC, Sony, Moto, Asus.... and other brands like Xiaomi, Meizu, Oppo, and OnePlus.

Or maybe boost the midrange device SoC's to 14nm Dualcore A72 chips.
I think Qualcomm needs a bit of a shake.

So LTE can finally match 4G specs.

It looks like the bandwidth of LTE increases just for sake of increasing. I don't see a practical use for these speeds right now. Why do we even need LTE and WiFi in parallel? We should limit things to one standard and run all mobile data via this one standard.

AnonD-614957, 31 Jul 2017So, they trying to beat Qualcomm. Yep. And also trying to beat the mobile gaming platform. Because since the speed is that fast, the only 2 most useful things u can do with it is download apps faster and also get very low ping latency when gaming on smartphone. Currently my country is starting to open up places that can allow mobile data speeds to be above 1gbps...jesus. When comes to computers, recently some companies made a 60ghz WiFi band for the router like NETGEAR is one of them. Or some kind of Killer WiFi which causes so many issues. Well it seems that not only gaming desktops, laptops and smartphones have evolved, even WiFi speeds have evolved too. Well I never seen before such insanity in WiFi till these few years

Overall, it is definitely and obviously a good news. Regarding if it will be already included in the Note 8, I think and it seems not, although hopefully I'm wrong (obviously).

That kind of speed is only useful if you're on a carrier that provides you that much bandwidth. Not to mention without the FUPs.
